Sri Sanyassian Sunkara Sankacharya Amazing, shocking, overwhelming, fascinating, intriguing. Concepts which have eluded clear expression for thousands of years. Where did the race originate? Why are we here? Does Human personality survive the Death of the Body? Where will we be after Death? What is the purpose of the life experience? What to believe? Who has the Truth? Where is the evidence? “What is the Correct Philosophy”? 7 Sexes is not for the timid, or the easily offended. It is not the intent to give offence, however the contents are outside of one’s Educational experience, beyond Orthodox, Institutional Teachings. The Biblical Saviour taught, “Seek the Truth”, Mahatma Ghandi taught, “Hang on to Truth”, Sri Sunkara, Spiritual Philosopher of the age delivers, “Herein the Truth to set you Free.” The controversial author of “VEDANTA – Bhagavad- Gita 2000” and “ASK – Were you there?” asked “The Tree of Knowledge, How did ‘It’ start?” The Spirit in the Tree responded: “Out of Africa” they say. Nay! Nay, Nay, Tree does sway. Long afore, before any Country, world or Galaxy were; Far Beyond the Physical you will find Humanity’s Self-starter. Science, State & Religion, Restrict belief, leading to Disaster; Empowering, Feeding Confusion’s Charter.” Today’s Belief Systems offer several choices, none of which withstand the scrutiny of time. The youth are offered a God a Supreme Male Being, Darwin’s theory of Evolution from an Ape, a Science of Big Bang from a Black Hole or an end to physical Life leading to Nothingness. Madame Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, internationally acclaimed Medium/Theosopher wrote 1,550 pages in a Doctrine, representing over 632,000 words. The dreaded word, SEX, appears three times. If mankind is not a race immersed in sexuality, then what is it? Knowledge of the complexities of the Spiritual Rounds, Rings, Chains and Sub races will not make the AIDS virus go away, nor solve the personal problems of the potential Suicide, nor bring you who read these words enlightenment or happiness. Sri Sunkara provides indisputable Evidence to support the Spiritual Reality of Existence; an intelligent fact based cosmic sense alternative to the Status Quo. Now Revealed to the outer world; the Hidden history of the ancient race of human Species. Be Free; armed with Perennial Wisdom, loaded with Truth, an exciting path for man’s exploration & discovery. Sunkara has no side agenda, no mortal ally, holds no specific group in awe, not affiliated with anyone, no vested interests to please; Spirit speaks directly to issues which affect us all; truthfully, candidly, where none have dared to tread. M. HAUG Universite Louis Pasteur, Laboratoire de Psychophysi%gie, URA 1295, 7, rue de /'Universite, 67000 Strasbourg, France This varied and impressive volume is a record of the major presentations at the NATO sponsored Advanced Research Workshop on The Development of Sex Differences and Similarities in Behaviour held at the Chateau de Bonas, Gers, France July 14-18, 1992. It is fitting that a meeting evaluating masculine and feminine 'characteristics' was located in the Gascony region immortalised in Alexandre Dumas epic, macho tale of The Three Musketeers. It is even more satisfying that Marc HAUG the French Director (a D' Artagnan equivalent) was ably assisted by a US/French Consortium of three co-Directors (Drs. Richard E. WHALEN, Claude ARON and Kathie L. OLSEN). The ARW also provided opportunities to explore the region around the Chateau, to appreciate the complex history of the area and to sample armagnac and other local gastronomic creations. A lively and varied cultural programme (classics to jazz) was also provided to maintain the interests and enthusiasms of the participants.

Most studies of gender differences in language use have been undertaken from exclusively either a sociocultural or a biological perspective. By contrast, this innovative volume places the analysis of language and gender in the context of a biocultural framework, examining both cultural and biological sources of gender differences in language, as well as the interaction between them. The first two parts of the volume on cultural variation in gender-differentiated language use, comparing Western English-speaking societies with societies elsewhere in the world. The essays are distinguished by an emphasis on the syntax, rather than style or strategy, of gender-differentiated forms of discourse but also often carry out the same forms differently through different choices of language form. These gender differences are shown to be socially organized, although the essays in Part I also raise the possibility that some cross-cultural similarities in the ways males and females differentially use language may be related to sex-based differences in physical and emotional makeup. Part III examines the relationship between language and the brain and shows that although there are differences between the ways males and females process language in the brain, these do not yield any differences in linguistic competence or language use. Taken as a whole, the essays reveal a great diversity in the cultural construction of gender through language and explicity show that while there is some evidence of the influence of biologically based sex differences on the language of women and men, the influence of culture is far greater, and gender differences in language use are better accounted for in terms of culture than in terms of biology. The collection will appeal widely to anthropologists, psychologists, linguists, and other concerned with the understanding of gender roles.

BY FAR THE BEST BOOK on this SUBJECT!!!!!! - This book is a pleasant read about the dynamics of people and relationships, particularly as they relate to romantic interests. The book does not make sweeping generalizations about the sexes nor does it offer a one-size-fits-all snake oil salesman band-aid, that seems to be so prevalent in this genre. The book was not written by a psychologist, a romance guru, but from a young, curious decision making scientist-which I think makes it much more interesting. This guy was so skeptical, he dated all of the personality types--and not just once! OVERALL, this was a fantastic read for someone that is insanely curious about things. The message can be understood by the most religious, the most liberal, or the most scientific. This message is simply that people need to really look at having the right information in front of them when they make the most important decision of their life....who they want to share it with. This book contains three studies which seem to me to be necessary prolegomena to that analysis of the sexual instinct which must form the chief part of an investigation into the psychology of sex. The first sketches the main outlines of a complex emotional state which is of fundamental importance in sexual psychology; the second, by bringing together evidence from widely different regions, suggests a tentative explanation of facts that are still imperfectly known; the third attempts to show that even in fields where we assume our knowledge to be adequate a broader view of the phenomena teaches us to suspend judgment and to adopt a more cautious attitude. So far as they go, these studies are complete in themselves; their special use, as an introduction to a more comprehensive analysis of sexual phenomena, is that they bring before us, under varying aspects, a characteristic which, though often ignored, is of the first importance in obtaining a clear understanding of the facts: the tendency of the sexual impulse to appear in a spontaneous and to some extent periodic manner, affecting women differently from men. This is a tendency which, later, I hope to make still more apparent, for it has practical and social, as well as psychological, implications. Here?and more especially in the study of those spontaneous solitary manifestations which I call auto-erotic?I have attempted to clear the ground, and to indicate the main lines along which the progress of our knowledge in these fields may best be attained.

L U C E I R I G A R A Y LIPS, KISSING AND THE POLITICS OF SEXUAL DIFFERENCE An exploration of the often controversial French thinker and feminist Luce Irigaray. Kelly Ives discusses Luce Irigaray's relation with Friedrich Nietzsche, Sigmund Freud, Jacques Lacan, and other feminists. Irigaray's provocative notions include: labial lips embracing; sexual difference; the speculum; 'sexuate rights' and sexual ethics; women's language and power; angels; and female mystics. Luce Irigaray was born May 3, 1932 in Belgium (some sources say 1930). She studied at the University of Louvain; she worked on a master's degree in psychology at the University of Paris (1959-62); and at the Institut de Psychologie de Paris (1962). From 1962-64 she worked at the Foundation Nationale de la Recherche Scientifique in Belgium, and then at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Pars, where she eventually became Director of Research. She produced a doctoral degree in linguistics (University of Paris X at Nanterre, 1968), and in philosophy (University of Paris VIII, 1974). Irigaray was, famously, a member of the Ecole Freudienne, presided over by Jacques Lacan. Irigaray's second dissertation (Speculum de l'autre femme) created some controversy among the members of the Freudian School, and Irigaray became an outcast from the Ecole Freudienne. This was a key setback in her academic career. In the 1970s and 1980s, Luce Irigaray taught at Rotterdam, Bologna, Toronto and Paris, among other places. With books such as Ce Sexe qui n'en est pas un, Et l'une ne bouge pas sans l'autre, Amante Marine: De Friedrich Nietzsche, Sexes et parentes, Sexes et genres a travers les langues and Le Oubli de l'air: Chez Martin Heidegger, Irigaray became a major international philosopher.
