No one knows where the number came from or who it belongs to, but those who've dared to call it have suffered the consequences." The group fell silent, their faces illuminated by the dancing flames. Brenda shivered and clutched her sweater tighter around her shoulders, while Jack laughed and rolled his eyes. "Come on, Em," he scoffed. "You can't seriously believe that crap, can you? It's just an urban legend, nothing more." But Emma's eyes were wide with fear as she stared into the fire. "I don't know, Jack," she said. "There have been too many stories, too many coincidences. I think there's something to it."
