The Normal Mental Arithmetic: A Thorough and Complete Course by Analysis and Induction is a textbook written by Edward Brooks. The focus of Edward Brooks' textbook is to impart the mental skills required for success at arithmetic on public school students. Thus, the focus of The Normal Mental Arithmetic is to teach students to use their ingenuity to solve mathematical problems.
