Weimar endete 1932/33 im politischen Desaster. Aber bis dahin leistete die Hochschul- und Wissenschaftspolitik des Freistaats Preußen unter (sozial-) demokratischen Kultusministern Erhebliches, so dass noch die frühe Bundesrepublik daran anknüpfen konnte.
