Das astrologische Handbuch des Antigonos von Nikaia (um 150 n.Chr.) war ein Meilenstein in der Entwicklung der antiken Sterndeutung. Dieser Text ist auch althistorisch von Interesse, da er wahrscheinlich auf der verlorenen Autobiographie Hadrians basiert und die früheste literarische Quelle zum Leben Hadrians und seines Großneffen Pedanius Fuscus bildet. Die übrigen Fragmente bewahren wertvolles Material zur Frühphase der hellenistischen Astrologie. Die neue Edition bietet erstmals einen verlässlichen Text auf der Grundlage aller Handschriften.
