Näher werde ich auf seine Betrachtungsweisen eingehen und mich mit einigen von ihnen auseinandersetzen. Jan-Uwe Rogge kann sich als Medienforscher, der gleichzeitig in der Familienberatung tätig ist, auf viele von ihm durchgeführte Studien stützen. Er ließ Kinder ihre Phantasien malen, ließ sich ihre Ängste erzählen, sprach mit ihnen über ihre Fernseherlebnisse und besprach mit vielen ratlosen Eltern die Probleme des Fernsehkonsums ihrer Kinder. In seinem 1990 beim Rowohlt-Verlag erschienenen Buch "Kinder können fernsehen" konnte er seine Erkenntnisse zusammentragen und veröffentlichen. Das Buch ist Teil der Eltern-Ratgeberreihe Mit Kindern leben.
