Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Geschichte Deutschlands - Nationalsozialismus, Zweiter Weltkrieg, Note: 1,0, Universität Wien, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Hausarbeit konzentriert auf die Strategien, welche Veit Harlan und Leni Riefenstahl bei der Aufarbeitung der Vergangenheit in ihren Autobiographien anwenden, um ihre Tätigkeit als Regisseure im ‚Dritten Reich’ im Nachhinein zu erklären bzw. zu rechtfertigen. Von besonderem Interesse erscheint mir hierbei die Frage, inwiefern es in den Texten zu einer Einsicht in eine mögliche Schuld oder Verantwortung kommt. Unter Berücksichtigung der Beeinflussung der Autobiographen durch ihren soziokulturellen, historischen Kontext soll auch dabei besonders herausgestellt werden, inwieweit die jeweiligen Darstellungen von bestimmten, tradierten Geschlechterstereotypen beeinflusst sind und inwiefern der Bezug auf diese geschlechtsspezifischen Rollenvorstellungen jeweils andere Argumentationsmuster erzeugt. Mit Blick auf die Zugehörigkeit von Veit Harlan und Leni Riefenstahl zur Berufsgruppe der Regisseure wird in der Seminararbeit zudem die Rolle, welche das Selbstverständnis als KünstlerIn bei dem Versuch der Exkulpation spielt, in die Überlegungen miteinbezogen werden.
