Con mucha anticipación se empieza a hacer pensamientos del sinsentido de una guerra que nunca se ganará y sobre la postguerra. Describe perfectamente a los ""simpatizantes"" planteándose y cuestionando los ""actos"" de los grandes gerifaltes.
