Non ha mai scritto, ha solo parlato, per imprimere nel cuore la sua Parola attraverso l’udito e la mente. Parola viva efficace più tagliente di una spada a due tagli capace di raggiungere la connessione tra il midollo e le ossa. Non è fissa o geometrica, ma viva la Parola, giunge con effetti diversi nel cuore di ognuno, provocando cose diverse, che ciascuno sente come giuste e personali. Di fronte a questa realtà, scrivere o parlare del vangelo e della Scrittura in genere mette paura. Cento parole non bastano per spiegarne una, eppure quell’unica può sconvolgere la vita e creare dei santi. Allora perché parlare? Perché è un compito lasciato da Gesù che vuole che l’annuncio sia fatto con la parola che giunga all’orecchio degli uomini, e ascoltandola si aprano alla fede. La Parola spiegata, quindi, in realtà non spiega, ma porta qualcosa di sacro ed una potenza che è dentro. La spiegazione del vangelo non è interpretazione ma vera trasmissione della parola materiale che ha in sé la potenza spirituale, a condizione che chi la pronuncia e chi l’ascolta siano aperti allo Spirito. Diversamente, anche la Parola di Dio può rimanere chiusa, sigillata, come quelle scritte nel rotolo dell’Apocalisse, che nessuno può aprire se non l’Agnello. Cento parole allora, sperando che siano portatrici dello Spirito che vuole passare attraverso di noi, ma che non è nostro, perciò vivo e vivificante, nonostante l’imperfezione di chi scrive. Non in sublimità di forma e stile, ma in povertà essenziale, nella fiducia che lo Spirito compia il miracolo, e la povertà del mezzo non faccia che risaltare la Gloria di Dio.

Introduzione al secondo volume di Don Gabriele Nanni Questo secondo volume di 100 Parole continua il commento alle Letture della liturgia del giorno, per lo più si tratta di commenti ai vangeli. Poiché dal tempo natalizio si corre verso quello pasquale, è la liturgia stessa a suggerire il percorso dalle tenebre alla luce, che dopo aver brillato nel Natale di Gesù si manifesta in un crescendo con la predicazione del Regno fino al suo trionfo con la Risurrezione. Il percorso della liturgia è la nostra vocazione; illuminati dal nostro Battesimo siamo chiamati alla pienezza della luce. Il cammino richiede di esporci alla luce di Cristo, che comporta conoscenza di sé, purificazione dell’anima fino all’assimilazione alla stessa luce divina. Così il trionfo di Cristo diventa trionfo sul nostro peccato e trasfigurazione delle nostre anime in lui, che ci ha presi in sé ancora peccatori, e attende il momento della nostra perfezione. La consapevolezza della sofferenza di Cristo, a causa dell’incorporazione di ciò che siamo con i nostri peccati, non può far altro che spingerci ad affrettare il nostro cammino di luce, rigettando le opere delle tenebre.
