I was never a good speaker. In fact, until I was about fifteen years old I remember that I was very shy. If I had to speak in front of my classmates at school, I would probably be embarrassed. I would never have imagined at that time that one day I would become a university professor or lecturer. At the beginning of my career, while still in college, I thought "if I need to present some work, I won't go". Perhaps you, when reading this preface, imagine the same thing, "how one day I will be able to speak in public without being afraid or embarrassed". That's why I started the text talking about my reality. I imagined that public speaking was a gift, and therefore I would never achieve it. As time passed and the need arose, I learned that public speaking can be a gift, but it can also be learned and trained. I often say in my talks that the hardest thing is not speaking to thousands of people, but speaking to just one, looking them in the eye. The emotional aspect of this is much stronger, and I usually remember the day I proposed to my wife. On this day, there were very few people, but I was scared to death, because the responsibility was enormous. Today, speaking to thousands of people, I know that the number of people is not the problem, it is that you consider yourself prepared for that moment. Be focused on what you have to do and think as if you were going to parachute, feel the moment and think: from now on there is no turning back. Enjoy this reading and I hope to meet you at a talk or event there and hear you presenting your ideas. I reaffirm my commitment that everyone can speak in public, it just depends on finding the right emotional triggers and moving forward. Happy reading and good luck to you!

If you're looking for an easy way to advance your career and to be a great communicator, read this book. "Working with Rachel, you quickly realise you are alongside a real professional. Vin Ray, Founding Director of BBC College of Journalism, former BBC Foreign Editor "I have worked with Rachel both as a coach and in event production and she excels at both. Personally, the guidance and coaching she has given me has been invaluable over the years, increasing my stage craft and ability to deliver impact." I always appreciated the feedback, adjustments and reframing she gave me and how she steered the leadership team to try new communication techniques. Rachel is an expert in her field."
