Diabetes occurs due to the inability of the pancreas to produce insulin. Type 1 diabetes is classified as an autoimmune disease. It is a condition in which the immune system of the organism "attacks" its own tissues and organs. It leads to a complete destruction of cells that produce insulin and are located in the pancreas. The disease doesn't occur that often, however, there are some significant variations worldwide. For example, in Europe and the USA, the number of affected people is different in different countries. It is supposed to be related to the increasing trend of obesity in our society. In the last 30 years, the number of people with diabetes has tripled. However, obesity doesn't explain the increase of Type 1 diabetes in children, but some research proposes that it is highly related to unhealthy diet and lifestyle. The main symptoms are the same for both - kids and adults. Usually, these symptoms occur within a few weeks and include thirst, weight loss, fatigue, frequent urination, etc. Symptoms that are more specific to children are bellyache, headache, or behavior problems. Physicians diagnose diabetes when a patient is suffering from an unexplained history of illness or abdominal pain that lasts for a couple of weeks. If you're diagnosed with diabetes, you will be referred to a specialist for this disease. The specific treatment of diabetes means that the majority of medical care is run by hospitals, rather than the family doctors. However, at the end of a day, you're left with your disease and it is up to you to maintain a healthy diet after that.

A person with diabetes must monitor his or her blood glucose levels regularly and make healthy food choices to avoid developing a diabetic condition. This book is no ordinary cookbook. That is why we created this diabetes cookbook. It's full of recipes that are made from real foods that diabetics can actually eat?not just sugary junk food like candy and soda. You can choose foods that have low glycemic index levels so you keep your blood sugar levels stable throughout the day without experiencing those terrible lows and highs that come with hypoglycemia. And each recipe has complete nutritional information so you can make sure that every bite is completely healthy for you. You'll love how easy these recipes are to prepare, how quick they are to fix when you're in a hurry, and how delicious they taste! You'll wonder why you ever ate unhealthy food before when you had access to such delicious meals right in your kitchen. You can get creative with some of our recipes, substituting or adding in different ingredients to make them work for your lifestyle. With so many cookbooks on the market, it can be difficult to find one that is both tasty and healthy. However, if you're diabetic or simply l
