Quando pensamos sobre tratamento, idealizamos apenas o corpo físico feito de carne e músculos e que podemos ver; mas é bom lembrar que este corpo consiste de duas partes, uma visível e outra invisível ou “sutil.” Este último é o corpo etérico ou vital. O corpo etérico é a fonte de toda vitalidade física e o transmissor de energia no sistema. Este corpo possui centenas de chakras (centros de força), alguns grandes e outros pequenos como pontos energéticos, e milhares de dutos (meridianos) por onde corre toda gama de energia que nos mantém. Sete deles são os chamados Grandes Chakras ou Chakras Principais, que estão ligados a várias partes do corpo, regendo o funcionamento dos órgãos e glândulas, através do recebimento e liberação de energia. Os chakras podem sofrer lesões, como fissuras e obstruções. Podem ficar desalinhados e desequilibrar totalmente uma pessoa, propiciando o aparecimento e desenvolvimento de doenças físicas ou emocionais. Mas, também podem ser restaurados e renovados através da meditação, Cromoterapia, Radiestesia e uma série de outras técnicas. Quando respiramos, absorvemos oxigênio para o corpo físico e energia (prana) para o corpo etérico (vital), que nos proporciona boa saúde e bem estar ao abastecer o corpo físico na medida em que necessitamos. Os chakras são vórtices energéticos que estão em movimento circulatório contínuo e vibrante, formando uma espiral de energia.
