Abby lived alone in a small house by the cornfield. Every morning, she would sit on her front porch and rock in her chair, watching the sun rise over the horizon. She had no family, no friends, no one to talk to. Her only companions were three crows that would perch on her front porch and caw at her. She didn't mind the crows. In fact, she liked their company. She felt a pang of sadness in her heart thinking that he had finally left her, that he had found a better place to live. She went out to the porch and sat in her rocking chair, feeling lonely and empty. A few days later, she heard her doorbell ring. She gasped when she opened her door. There stood an older gentleman in a black suit wearing a black hat staring back at her. "It's me Abby girl, Mr. Brownstone, your crow. I've returned back to you. I've loved you from the beginning. You were the only one that has ever fed me and taken care of me." Fear rose up in her emotions as she stood there gazing at him...
