Such obsessive antinomian attitude and constraint, which I have provocatively termed “armed” struggle in the way to (rather than as the opposite of) peace, present as spirit, collective effervescence, combat, or phantasm in institutionalizing or constitutive rituals (exemplified by the oath by sceptre episode in classical literature, and often imagined as an original “contract” authorized by a generic “will” that legitimates law in modern literature), is represented under the political economy of the industrial-colonial regime in a state of suspension or “emergency”. In this respect, as suggested above, the “state of emergency” that according to Benjamin has become the rule isn’t the consequence of violence. On the contrary, it’s the attempt to suspend combat, to externally impose upon peoples a fictive unity (the unity of their ‘needs’) and to extract from peoples their ability to use force as well as do battle against the sovereign.

The Oxford Handbook Of Law And Anthropology written by Marie-Claire Foblets and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-04-01 with Law categories.

The Oxford Handbook of Law and Anthropology is a ground-breaking collection of essays that provides an original and internationally framed conception of the historical, theoretical, and ethnographic interconnections of law and anthropology. Each of the chapters in the Handbook provides a survey of the current state of scholarly debate and an argument about the future direction of research in this dynamic and interdisciplinary field. The structure of the Handbook is animated by an overarching collective narrative about how law and anthropology have and should relate to each other as intersecting domains of inquiry that address such fundamental questions as dispute resolution, normative ordering, social organization, and legal, political, and social identity. The need for such a comprehensive project has become even more pressing as lawyers and anthropologists work together in an ever-increasing number of areas, including immigration and asylum processes, international justice forums, cultural heritage certification and monitoring, and the writing of new national constitutions, among many others. The Handbook takes critical stock of these various points of intersection in order to identify and conceptualize the most promising areas of innovation and sociolegal relevance, as well as to acknowledge the points of tension, open questions, and areas for future development.

No other nation has invested as much intellectual capital in the study of war as has the Soviet Union over the last six decades, and the doctrine, strategy, and tactics that have been developed by Soviet theoreticians are bound to guide any future Soviet military action. The Soviet Art of War makes available to Western readers selections from the most significant and influential Soviet military writings from 1917 to the present. The Scotts have examined thousands of Soviet military publications, including the restricted journal of the Soviet General Staff, Voyennaya Mysl', to make this book the most comprehensive account of Soviet military theory and practice yet published. The papers they have chosen thoroughly illustrate the development of the basic features of Soviet military art, from the days of trench warfare to the era of the nuclear battlefield. These documents demonstrate the emphasis on surprise, on deception, on mass deep penetration of enemy defenses, and on a unified strategy for all services. They also show the forms of military action—destruction and attrition, defense and offense, maneuver and position-as seen through the eyes of leading Soviet marshals, generals, and admirals. The usefulness of this material is further enhanced by the Scotts' commentary and their analysis of each group of readings.

If War Comes Tomorrow written by General Makhmut Akhmetovich Gareev and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-11-05 with History categories.

Military affairs have been affected by major changes in recent years. The bipolar world of two superpowers has gone. The Cold War and the global military confrontation that accompanied it have ended. A new military and political order has emerged in the world, but the world has not become more stable; indeed, wars and armed conflict have become much more common. Forecasting the contours of future armed conflict is no easy task at such times, but this is the primary objective of If War Comes Tomorrow? Focusing on the impact of new technologies, General Gareev considers whether war is still a continuation of politics by other means' or whether the political, ideological, and technical transformation have broken that connection. He explores the linkage between threats to Russian national interests and war as an instrument of policy in great detail and concludes that there is very little prospect either of nuclear war or widespread conventional war. However, he does see local armed conflicts and local wars increasing, with greater emphasis on subversion. He argues that coming decades will see a shift towards a reliance upon indirect means to accomplish limited political ends, and analyses both information warfare and the revolution in military affairs from this perspective.

In this world of mystery and the unknown, the lives and energies of multiple occult groups and individuals inevitably intertwine. The various goals, beliefs, and agendas of these groups and individuals at times come into such tremendous conflict that a war begins. It is in this world of shadows and secrecy that the occult history of the world has unfolded for untold generations. The Occult Art of War is a derivative work based upon the teachings of Sun Tzu in his ancient strategy manual, The Art of War. This text applies Sun Tzu's teachings to the conflicts that arise in the paths of those living in conjunction with the supernatural. This book not only lays out specific methods of strategy, but also provides a code of ethics and mental attitude for responsible application of the strategies. At its core this book is a manual for spiritual conflict and occult warfare.
