A Derivation Of Electro Weak Theory Based On An Extension Of Special Relativity Black Hole Tachyons Tachyons Of Any Spin written by Stephen Blaha and has been published by Pingree-Hill Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006 with Black holes (Astronomy) categories.

The book extends Special Relativity to include (Superluminal) transformations to reference frames moving at relative velocities greater than the speed of light. Tachyons are shown to exist within Black Holes. Tachyons of any spin can be defined and second quantized. Further considerations lead to the ElectroWeak Theory for one generation of leptons and quarks. Thus the general form of ElectroWeak theory, including a rationale for the form of parity violation, SU(2) x U(1), and left-handed doublets and right-handed singlets, is derived.

This book provides a comprehensive derivation of the form of the Standard Model of Elementary Particles based on postulates grounded in GL(16). It shows that there are two possible general forms of the Standard Model based on the GL(16) group and quantum field theory. One form - the Complexon Standard Model - naturally leads to color SU(3). The other possible form implied by our derivation is the "vanilla" Standard Model. This study reduces the form of the Standard Model to space-time geometry and quantum field theory.

1. We show that tachyons exist within Black Holes. 2. We extend Special Relativity to include left-handed (Superluminal) transformations to reference frames moving at relative velocities greater than the speed of light. This set of transformations forms a group that includes the Lorentz group as an invariant subgroup. The speed of light does not change under the transformations of this group. We find new features in frames moving at a relative speed greater than the speed of light such as length dilation, time contraction, and tachyons decaying into more massive tachyons - "reverse fission." 3. Using the (Superluminal) transformations of this enlarged group we are able to define tachyons of half-integer or integer spin. We show these tachyons are local and satisfy canonical commutation relations in light-front coordinates (the "infinite momentum" frame). Thus a standard quantization procedure is possible and a conventional light-front perturbation theory can be constructed. 4. Free spin 1/2 tachyons violate parity and CPT but do not violate C or T invariance. 5. The requirement of Left-handed Extended Lorentz group covariance implies an extended Dirac equation for spin 1/2 particles with doublets of spin 1/2 particles: a Dirac particle and a tachyon. We identify neutrinos with tachyon members of lepton doublets, and "d-type" quarks with tachyon members of quark doublets. 6. Further considerations lead to most features of the Standard Model for one generation of leptons and quarks. Thus the general form of the Standard Model, including a rationale for the form of parity violation, SU(2)?U(1), and left-handed doublets and right-handed singlets, is derived. 7. The theory requires quark confinement. The theory does not explain the existence of three generations or the mixing of generations. SU(3) is found to be the minimal symmetry group of the strong interaction if spin 1/2 baryon bound states are t

This book is based on the lecture course taught by the author for about three decades at Charles University. The author gives a thorough and easy-to-read account of the basic principles of the standard model of electroweak interactions, describes various theories of electromagnetic and weak interactions, and explains the gauge theory of electroweak interactions. The criterion of the tree-level unitarity is used throughout the text to check the gradual steps leading to the renormalizable electroweak theory. Five appendices expound on some special techniques of the Standard Model, used in the main body of the text. The book can be read with just a preliminary knowledge of quantum field theory. In comparison with the first edition of the book published more than 20 years ago, new passages concerning the Higgs boson are added, as well as some new problems and solutions.

The electroweak theory unifies two basic forces of nature: the weak force and electromagnetism. This 2007 book is a concise introduction to the structure of the electroweak theory and its applications. It describes the structure and properties of field theories with global and local symmetries, leading to the construction of the standard model. It describes the particles and processes predicted by the theory, and compares them with experimental results. It also covers neutral currents, the properties of W and Z bosons, the properties of quarks and mesons containing heavy quarks, neutrino oscillations, CP-asymmetries in K, D, and B meson decays, and the search for Higgs particles. Each chapter contains problems, stemming from the long teaching experience of the author, to supplement the text. This will be of great interest to graduate students and researchers in elementary particle physics.

The papers contained in this volume are invited lec tures presented at the 21st "Universit~tswochen fUr Kern physik" in Schladming in February 1982. To consider electro magnetic and weak interactions as manifestations of a single theory is a standpoint, which is generally accepted by now. The goal of the school was to outline the present state of this unified theory and to discuss possible future developments. Thanks to the generous support provided by the Austrian Ministry of Science and Research, the Styrian Government and other sponsors, it was again possible to invite experts in the field as lecturers. The lecture notes have been reexamined by the authors and are now published in their final form to enable a larger number of physicists to profit from them. Since the lectures are already quite voluminous, we have decided to restrict the publication to the lectures themselves and omit all seminars, interesting as they were, as well as all details connected with the meeting. It is a pleasure to thank all the lecturers for their efforts, making it possible to speed up publication. Thanks are also due to L. Pittner for organisation and proof-reading as well as to Mrs. Krenn and Mrs. Neuhold for the careful typing of the papers. H. Mitter Acta Physica Austriaca, Suppl. String theory is one of the most exciting and challenging areas of modern theoretical physics. This book guides the reader from the basics of string theory to recent developments. It introduces the basics of perturbative string theory, world-sheet supersymmetry, space-time supersymmetry, conformal field theory and the heterotic string, before describing modern developments, including D-branes, string dualities and M-theory. It then covers string geometry and flux compactifications, applications to cosmology and particle physics, black holes in string theory and M-theory, and the microscopic origin of black-hole entropy. It concludes with Matrix theory, the AdS/CFT duality and its generalizations. This book is ideal for graduate students and researchers in modern string theory, and will make an excellent textbook for a one-year course on string theory. It contains over 120 exercises with solutions, and over 200 homework problems with solutions available on a password protected website for lecturers at www.cambridge.org/9780521860697.
