They were men who had learned to shoot, to kill other men, and were good at it. The country was in turmoil, many had no home to go back too, their farms and ranches were in ruin so they took on jobs as hired hands, cow drover, gamblers, and police officers. The line was so blurred, that a professional gun slinger often found himself enforcing the law, then after a while would be breaking the law they crossed the line at will. The Wild west was really about commerce, making money.The stories need to be told with accuracy. The stories of men who were outlaws, the men who crossed over and became lawmen and those who crossed the line at will. Each chapter will be dedicated to an incident, such as a shoot out or a synopsis of their career. Within these pages, are the Hyde Park Shoot Out, Chauncey B. Whitney, Henry Brown James Butler, Morgan Earp, King Fisher, The Horrell-Higgins Feud, Jim Courtright, Luke Short, James Masterson, Jim Miller and Bill Tilghman. Not to mention all of the other gunmen who came in contact with these men who the book is high-lighting. As a fraternity, for these men pretty knew of each other, are forty other gunmen included.
