Iam sempre na linha de frente. Foi assustador, assombroso, mais parecia um pesadelo, era um pesadelo infernal. Não se tem ao certo o número de pessoas que morreram nesta infame guerra. O que sabemos pelos dados históricos. É que também morreram milhares de negros. Muitos, a maioria dos brasileiros não sabem que os negros participaram da guerra do Paraguai. Leia uma parte da história neste primeiro volume. Em outras obras. Contaremos sobre os indígenas, mulheres e crianças. E também sobre os homens fieis guerreiros. Todos merecem o nosso respeito e gratidão.

Birds are some of South America's treasures and also one of its most endangered resources.
