Excerpt from A Monograph of Levi I have been moved to put it forth because I feel that, as a general rule, in their allotment of the tribes to the two Houses of Israel they are too superficial; that, not being a vital point, they have not troubled themselves to delve below the surface and give due weight to such evidence as there is, but are content to jog along in the old wheel-ruts without reflecting whither these conduct. I venture to think they conduct - and I submit the opinion with the deference due to many who are older in this science than myself - to Scripture confusion. I have therefore endeavoured, to the best of my ability, to collate the evidence. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Excerpt from A Monograph of Levi This pamphlet is not so much addressed to the general public as to my brethren the writers on and teachers of this grand and Bible-vindicating truth, and this because there are in it but few of the vast number of evidential points upon the cumulative strength of which we identify the British race with the House of "All Israel." I have been moved to put it forth because I feel that, as a general rule, in their allotment of the tribes to the two Houses of Israel they are too superficial; that, not being a vital point, they have not troubled themselves to delve below the surface and give due weight to such evidence as there is, but are content to jog along in the old wheel-ruts without reflecting whither these conduct. I venture to think the conduct - and I submit the opinion with the deference due to many who are older in this science than myself - to Scripture confusion. I have therefore endeavoured, to the best of my ability, to collate the evidence. I have hinted that there are two voices on this point. This is not good. Let us not forget it is British-Israel truth versus the world! We should study to present on all points a united front to - I was about to say the enemy but the "enemy" are our friends, our kith and kin, to whom, as to us, are the "promises" and "the adoption." We hunt for them, we fish for them, we spend and are spent for them, we come to them day by day with our hands stretched out and full of a God-honouring, race-ennobling truth, and we ask them to cast away indifference and vain self-sufficiency and to share with us the dignified burden of this full "Gospel of the kingdom." Classification And Identification Of Lie Algebras written by Libor Šnob and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-04-05 with categories.

The purpose of this book is to serve as a tool for researchers and practitioners who apply Lie algebras and Lie groups to solve problems arising in science and engineering. The authors address the problem of expressing a Lie algebra obtained in some arbitrary basis in a more suitable basis in which all essential features of the Lie algebra are directly visible. This includes algorithms accomplishing decomposition into a direct sum, identification of the radical and the Levi decomposition, and the computation of the nilradical and of the Casimir invariants. Examples are given for each algorithm. For low-dimensional Lie algebras this makes it possible to identify the given Lie algebra completely. The authors provide a representative list of all Lie algebras of dimension less or equal to 6 together with their important properties, including their Casimir invariants. The list is ordered in a way to make identification easy, using only basis independent properties of the Lie algebras. They also describe certain classes of nilpotent and solvable Lie algebras of arbitrary finite dimensions for which complete or partial classification exists and discuss in detail their construction and properties. The book is based on material that was previously dispersed in journal articles, many of them written by one or both of the authors together with their collaborators. The reader of this book should be familiar with Lie algebra theory at an introductory level.

Thornton Wilder Classical Reception And American Literature written by Stephen J. Rojcewicz, Jr. and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-11-25 with History categories.

This book delineates how Thornton Wilder (1897–1975), a learned playwright and novelist, embeds himself within the classical tradition, integrating Greek and Roman motifs with a wide range of sources to produce heart-breaking masterpieces such as Our Town and comedy sensations such as Dolly Levi. Through this study of archival sources and close reading, readers will understand Wilder’s avant-garde staging and innovative time sequences not as a break with the past, but as a response to the classics. The author traces the genesis of unforgettable characters like Dolly Levi in The Matchmaker, Emily Webb in Our Town, and George Antrobus in The Skin of Our Teeth. Vergil’s expression, "Here are the tears of the world, and human matters touch the heart" haunts Wilder’s oeuvre. Understanding Vergil’s phrase as "tears for the beauty of the world," Wilder utilizes scenes depicting the beauty of the world and the sorrow when individuals recognize this too late. Wilder exhorts us to observe lovingly, alert to the wonder of the everyday. This work will appeal to actors and directors, professors and students in classics and in American literature, those fascinated by modern drama and performance studies, and non-specialists, theatre-goers, and readers in the general public.
