This new academic and analytical book tackles the strategy of Iran’s security since the new millennium, when their national security policy was reviewed to secure Iran’s position. This was implemented by the newly elected President Mohammad Khatami and modified during the presidency of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The importance of the period from Khatami to Ahmadinejad is that the clerical establishment of the Iranian regime, in order to maintain stability of the system, chose two strategic doctrines: firstly, they supported Khatami’s ‘Policy of Appeasement’ – Detente – towards the West and tried to conduct reform within the system. Secondly, hard-line conservative Ahmadinejad was brought to power based on the ‘Policy of Confrontation’ and advocated conservative ideology, which resulted in more clashes with Western governments.This book explains the doctrine of Iran’s national security in the 21st century, examining the factors related to the formulation of their national security strategy. It aims to provide a clear understanding of the nature of the clerical system’s goals, their behavior patterns in a domestic environment, and the international community. This can only be made by taking into account their particular aim and the circumstances that prevailed when decisions were made and policies were formed. There are many books written on Iran which analyses the different aspects of the mullah’s regime, but there are currently no books that focus on its national security doctrine. Manshour Varasteh has written Understanding Iran’s National Security Doctrine to give a better understanding of the clerical regime’s ambitious politics. On this basis, it is hoped this book will shed some light on the politics of Iran. It will appeal to those interested in Iran’s politics.

In this book, I respond to the need for explanations of UAPs/UFOs, as presented by the Report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. I work within the Framework of the Pentagon’s statement that UAPs are real objects with advanced intelligently controlled technologies, which are not ours (US). I present explanations of the Physics of UFOs/UAPs and how they work. I analyze and explain UAPs’ flight characteristics. I present explanations for the observables listed by the National Intelligence Director’s Report. I address and refute the hypothesis that UAPs are advanced hypersonic drones from Russia or China. I review and address the National Security as well as air safety concerns. I present case evidence and historical data supporting the hypothesis that some UFOs/UAPs are advanced technologies that do not seem to originate from Earth. It is evidence that may be conducive to the discovery, the realization that we are not alone in the Universe. This book is also intended to be used for additional reading in Astronomy and Physics classes.

Since 1988, the Board on International Comparative Studies in Education (BICSE) at the (U.S.) National Research Council of the National Academies has engaged in activities designed to increase the rigor and sophistication of international comparative studies in education by encouraging synergies between large and smaller scale international comparative education research, to identify gaps in the existing research base, and to assist in communicating results to policy makers and the public. Under the current grant (1998-2002), funded by the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics, BICSE has sponsored public events and commissioned papers on the effects of the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS), the power of video technology in international education research, international perspectives on teacher quality, and advances in the methodology of cross-national surveys of education achievement. This report responds to a request from the board's sponsors under the current grant to produce a report that builds on its previous work.
