This book addresses the question of how to properly handle Dōgen’s texts, a core issue that became critical during the Meiji period in which the philosophical appropriation of Dōgen became apparent inside and outside of the monastery. In present day Dōgen studies, most scholarship is informed by a number of factions representing Dōgen. The chapters herein address: the Zennist (j. zenjōka) emphasising practice, the Genzōnians (j. genzōka) shifting the attention to the close reading of Dōgen’s texts, the laity movement opening up both the texts and the practice to people in modern society, and the Genzō researchers (j. genzō kenkyūka) searching for the authenticity and truth of Dōgen’s writings. The book aims to clarify the rightful place of Dōgen: in the monastery, in denominational studies, or in modern academic philosophy? It brings forth various viewpoints on Dōgen, and analyzes the relations of these viewpoints from the premodern to modern times. The collected volume appeals to students and researchers in the field while establishing hermeneutic standards of reading and proposing new, original, and critical interpretations of Dōgen’s texts. Chapter From Uji to Being-time (and Back): Translating Dōgen into Philosophy is available open access under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License via link.springer.com.

In creating this book the author has used many research papers in various disciplines that had focused on both practical and theoretical aspects of MMR. During the quiet two years of Covid era and subsequent refreshment follow up year, the author managed to identify relevant articles and many case studies that reveal various theoretical and practical aspects of the MMR with the aim of helping post graduate students and supervisors to manage their research projects. Among the explored themes were several categories of MMR topics that satisfy both practicality and comprehensiveness requirements of the book. How To Develop An Evidence Informed Theory Of Change For Health written by World Health Organization and has been published by World Health Organization this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-03-08 with Medical categories.

This guide discusses how to use and incorporate evidence into the processes of developing and updating a theory of change (ToC) in the health sector. A ToC is an approach to developing a systematic and visual representation of how a programme or intervention is expected to achieve its intended outcomes. ToCs can help when designing and planning interventions, implementing interventions, monitoring and evaluation, promoting transparency, policy transfer and scaling up, as well as supporting institutional strategic plans. As such, ToCs are an important resource for evidence-informed health policies. This guide presents a six-stage process for integrating evidence into ToCs: 1. Define the problem; 2. Define expected outcomes; 3. Define the interventions; 4. Define change mechanisms and build a model of the Theory of Change; 5. Validate the Theory of Change; and 6. Revise the Theory of Change. The target audience of this guide are health professionals, policy-makers, researchers, members of civil society, staff in international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), and other stakeholders interested in promoting effective health policies through the use of ToCs and high-quality evidence.

School and public libraries often provide programs and activities for children in preschool through the sixth grade, but there is little available to young adults. For them, libraries become a place for work—the place to research an assignment or find a book for a report—but the thought of the library as a place for enjoyment is lost. So how do librarians recapture the interest of teenagers? This just might be the answer. Here you will find theme-based units (such as Cartoon Cavalcade, Log On at the Library, Go in Style, Cruising the Mall, Space Shots, Teens on TV, and 44 others) that are designed for young adults. Each includes a display idea, suggestions for local sponsorship of prizes, a program game to encourage participation, 10 theme-related activities, curriculum tie-in activities, sample questions for use in trivia games or scavenger hunts, ideas for activity sheets, a bibliography of related works, and a list of theme-related films. The units are highly flexible, allowing any public or school library to adapt them to their particular needs.

Integrity In Business written by Frank Holder and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-05-23 with Business & Economics categories.

Business integrity is rarely a matter of straight-forward rules. As the nature and geography of business transactions become more complex, managers are required to make judgements and to tackle new ethical dilemmas that are often local and situational. Integrity in Business explores the complex nature of integrity and business and illustrates how organizations have avoided major setbacks to their reputations and value by encouraging integrity. It also examines those organizations that have failed or experienced serious reputational damage due to lack of preparation, lack of transparency and lack of leadership. Frank Holder analyzes how transparency and integrity depend on a state of balance in competition and knowing who you are doing business with. He explains the significance of leadership awareness which, whilst now global, is alert to the need to establish integrity in local markets. Using his research from a review of significant fraud cases, legislative mandates and governmental and nongovernmental initiatives over the past 15 years, the author provides a rigorous and sophisticated guide to understanding and adopting an holistic business integrity strategy- one which has a realistic chance of protecting your organization from the kind of catastrophic loss or reputational damage that can easily be the result of an error of judgement in a world that is increasingly connected and driven by instant and social media.
