Este livro contempla a investigação do processo de recontextualização educacional das Tecnologias da Informação e da Comunicação (TIC) no Programa de Correção de Fluxo do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Parte da hipótese de que as teleaulas do Telecurso®, que constituem quase a totalidade do processo de ensino-aprendizagem nesse Programa, têm aporte no uso intensivo das tecnologias configurando estratégia de substituição tecnológica, alienação e, por decorrência, de reconfiguração do trabalho docente. Aborda uma análise crítica da relação entre as tecnologias e o trabalho docente, considerando a polivalência dos professores como o tripé desse binômio; do processo de construção dos discursos dessa política e do que ela representa no espaço-tempo presente. Empreende uma abordagem qualitativa do tipo estudo de caso, com perspectiva etnográfica e a análise crítica do discurso, formulada por Norman Fairclough. Possibilita a verificação da reflexão e refração dos discursos dos sujeitos envolvidos com as formulações propostas nos documentos que alicerçam o Programa de Correção de Fluxo, bem como na Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação (LDB no 9394/96) e no Plano Nacional da Educação (PNE 2014-2024). Os resultados deste trabalho vão além do uso intensivo das tecnologias como estratégia de substituição tecnológica do trabalho docente, instaurando uma outra racionalidade para a educação pública, que permanece no descompasso do discurso da "modernidade".
