This book is a research study in having firm belief in Allah [SWT] and an endeavour is made to understand that Allah [SWT] is real, unique and has no plural or gender. Allah is the Almighty, Creator and Sustainer of the universe, Self Sufficient or Self Subsistent. All Praise is due to Allah. His being Eternal is compounded by His being Divine. He is Proud in His Greatness. There is no term for His Divinity nor is there extinction to His domain. He is the first to create; the One Who is eternal even beyond eternity itself. Allah describes Himself as One and Eternal in the Qur'an. Allah is physically alone in His kingship and Lordship and He has always existed and will always exist. He existed before creation and will still exist even if all of creation was to end. He is not subjected to time as He created time and movement Himself. He resides outside of time and outside of all His creation and is physically high above His creation, residing in a manner befitting His Majesty. The purpose of this research study is to gain in-depth knowledge of the Belief in Allah [SWT] and it is evidenced based from authentic sources of Quran and Sunah of the Prophet (SAW). Accordingly, the primary sources used are: Tafsir Ibn Kathir and Kutub Sitta (six books of Sunah), namely: (i) Sahih Bukhari; (ii) Sahih Muslim; (iii) Sunan Abu Dawud; (iv) Jami At-Tirmidhi; (v) Sunan Nas'i and (vi) Sunan Ibn Majah. This treatise consists of study consists of nine (9) chapters, including: Introduction; Evidence of the Existenance of the Creator; Knowing Allah Through the Text of the Quran and Sunnah; Most Beautiful Names of Allah; TAWHEED; Shirk; TAWHEED and Worship; Common Examples Of Everyday Shirk; and Summary and Conclusion

We have to state and admit the following sincerely: although we did not have any idea about what to write before explanatory notes came into the being, (every time without any exception) , we were astonished by the resultant texts and realized that we had never understood these issues this clear before. While controlling the texts, we had great joy and pleasure and we were reading the texts as if they were written by someone else. The writings were helping us, in an unexpected way, in overcoming our greatest distresses, giving us a strong state of faith. Because, what we were writing was talking about eternal truths of faith and Quran and they were having such qualities which were having much more different than a work presented with the individual proficiency and capability of a person. Therefore, the beauty and the excellence of these truths must have been reflected in our word as well. For sure, we were pursuing an immensely difficult and tedious effort; sometimes it was taking 3-5 hour to complete 1-2 pages of explanatory notes. We were spending an equal amount of time for footnotes and the glossary of concepts. But, the feeling of joy, happiness and spiritual satisfaction were exceedingly worth this effort. At this stage, we realized and felt the reason behind Bediüzzaman’s saying: “I am also a student of Risale-i Nur. I am your classmate in learning the Teachings of Quran, I am also in need of Risale-i Nur.” And we understood that he was not trying to be humble while saying this. Although we had an humble purpose of “conducing to a higher level of our comprehension than the reader could get on his or her own, we achieved better results than our expectations. All praise is due to Allah, so we praise him. In deed our share is only that of praising. Now if you look at our personality, you may not see much value. This is normal, because neither could we see any. What we see is just this: our weakness in our distressed search, our needs, our sincere wishes and our actual prayers (prayers supported with actions). As a requirement of being a human, we wanted to share what we had found and felt, with those who had the same needs and who were in the same search. This is what we mean when we say that we are not like a teacher who makes you sit before her and starts teaching you. Maybe rather we are like a guest who himself is entreated a dining table as he is as hungry and needy as everybody, and he is sincerely inviting you to this dining table. Or maybe we are like a curious kid, who has found the key of a magnificent and inexhaustible treasure, and who wants to inform others of its existence and share it with them. The main texts from Risale-i Nur are placed in the beginning, the words and concepts are explained in the footnotes and the explanatory texts are provided afterwards. In addition, occasionally, as the need arises, explanatory texts are included within the text of the book in the form of an intermediary note. Primarily understanding that faith is such a great blessing and a treasure with a great value would determine the importance that we would give to that treasure and its evidences. Nevertheless, you will also observe that in the first part, a serious effort has also been made to search for the truth and evidences. These lessons were part of the Islamic Correspondence Course that I compiled, wrote and edited for the Islamic Education and Information Centre, Toronto, in the early nineties. The course consists of three parts: Part I (twenty lessons) on Islamic theology outlines the basic beliefs of the faith; followed by Part II (fifteen lessons) on Islamic jurisprudence explaining the spiritual and financial issues as well as the social and familial aspects of life; it concludes with Part III (fifteen lessons) on the brief history of the first three centuries covering the lives of the Prophet Muhammad, his daughter, Fatima, and the Twelve Imams of Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them all). Each lesson is followed by a question paper.

Imam Tirmidhi narrates that the Prophet ﷺ ordered people to 'Be modest before Allah, as is His due.' The Prophet ﷺ then explained that 'Modesty before Allah means protecting the head and all that is in it; and protecting the stomach and all that is inside it. Furthermore, you should remember death and decay, for one whose eyes are set on the Hereafter keeps away from worldliness. One who accomplishes all of this is one who is modest before Allah, as is His due.' This work is an elaborate commentary on the aforementioned hadith. It covers Divine and Prophetic injunctions, as well as scholarly discussions relating to a variety of subjects, such as having pure belief in Allah; the various facets of spiritual purification; how to use the bodily parts in a lawful manner; maintaining honest financial transactions; the rules of good social conduct; and the remembrance of death and rulings connected to it. The treatise ends with a detailed outline of the substantial events heralding the End of Time and the events of the life after death; in the grave and on the Day of Judgement, and a description of the final abodes of Heaven and Hell.
