Speaking of Abraham, it is not the simple tale of a character of antiquity, who was famous Abraham that the Bible presents as the father of a people, that is the Jews. Because if this is true, in that it cannot be disputed, according to what the Bible says, it is also true that Abraham is not only the acknowledged father of the Jews, but it is also the father of faith, as the New Testament recognizes it as such. The purpose of our intervention, is not only to talk about this, but mainly highlight the characteristics that Abraham had that from the point of view of faith, made him famous, not only among the Jews, but also in the midst of Christianity. In fact, when Christianity speaks of Abraham and holds him up for example of faith, it does so primarily on the basis of the characteristics that showed in believing in God and in having faith in Him, in all that which God said and the promises the he promised. These are the essential elements of antiquity proved that this man in his time, which made him famous in this area of life, Christianity, do not hesitate to call the Christian character, supported especially by the testimony that the same Jesus He made when talking about him, and pointed for example model to the religious Jews who constantly challenged.

Religion Of The Fathers written by Denver C. Snuffer Jr. and has been published by Restoration Archive this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-07-20 with Religion categories.

The first and most complete religion belonged to Adam and Eve. They lived with God, and after being cast out, they retained a memory of living in God's presence. Adam taught the first eight patriarchs born after him the Religion of the Fathers, which involved direct communion, contact, and connection between mankind and God. It enabled the faithful to hear directly from the Lord His promise of eternal life, to seal them by covenant into His Heavenly Family. Despite nearly universal apostasy and rebellion against God while Adam lived, the line of first or Patriarchal Fathers preserved the true religion. Their religion was Adam's religion, and their understanding reached back to the Garden of Eden. They experienced visions, ascended into Heaven, obtained promises of exaltation, and were transformed by their experiences from men into angels of God. After Shem (Melchizedek), an apostasy lasted until Abraham. Although he was raised by an idolater, Abraham searched for the true God of Heaven. He "sought for the blessings of the Fathers," the very thing Malachi prophesies will return before the great and dreadful return of the Lord. Like Adam (at the beginning) and his descendant, Enoch, Abraham was caught up into Heaven and received a tutorial endowment from God. The covenant of the first Fathers was renewed and conferred upon him by Melchizedek, thereby restoring continuity back to Adam. Abraham represents the key Patriarchal Father prophesied of in Malachi. Abraham not only renewed the covenant of the Fathers (including Noah and Enoch), but also, through the Abrahamic covenant, God established Abraham as the new head of the family of God on Earth. The Book of Abraham has become a battleground because it is so important for our salvation. Recovering the Religion of the Fathers, becoming of one heart with the Fathers, and fulfilling the prophecy of Malachi are directly connected to Abraham. The more we can learn of Abraham, the more we can know of the covenant with the Fathers spoken of by Malachi, and those same blessings of the Fathers that will be administered again before the end. We can, if faithful, obtain all that the original Fathers received from God at the beginning. Therefore, any book written by Abraham should be priceless to us. The Lord's "strange act" is approaching completion. The promises made to the Fathers are being vindicated. The Restoration has recommenced, and if we are faithful, it will not be paused or interrupted again. Although Israel's numbers are few, there have never been great numbers willing to sacrifice everything for God. The Religion of the Fathers presents a strong defense of the authenticity of the Book of Abraham as translated through Joseph Smith Jr. in 1835, and subsequently published in the Times & Seasons in 1842. It also presents an expanded view of the Restoration of the gospel, its ancient roots, current covenants, and prophesied future. Topics covered include Christianity, miracles, heaven, hell, the apocalypse, truth, the Bible, the devil, historical evidence, Lectures on Faith, the Ten Commandments, signs of the times, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, the law of consecration, the Joseph Smith Papers, Joseph's journal, the translation process, the destiny of the Christian church, polygamy, saving grace, and many more.

In this retelling of the story of Abraham, based on Genesis 12-21, children will enjoy the bright and bold illustrations and the words which describe how Abraham and his family felt as they traveled far to strange lands and awaited God's promises. Certain parts of the story, difficult for preschool children to understand, have been omitted, but the the simple message that Abraham trusted and obeyed God even when it was difficult, remained in tact. Abraham believed God and eventually had a son, just like God promised. This is a great Sunday School story to read for Father's Day.

Exalted Father is the story of the life of a man treasured and honored as the father of the world's three greatest religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It is the story of Abraham, a human being struggling with the daily issues of life, searching for the meaning of life. Therefore, it is everyone's story. As it is recorded, Abraham "went out not knowing where he was to go," traveling from Ur of the Chaldeans to the land of promise. Abraham went out by faith, a reminder that we, too, walk, not by sight, but by faith.

We learn from the life of Abraham that faith in GOD trusts and values truth. It is loyal and saves, influences, instructs, guides, believes, ultimately manifests, and attracts after its own kind. Yet this faith can be vulnerable and fail, but in the end, it helps us to endure much and prosper, it opens new doors; serves us and blesses us. It lives. This book will help you understand and give you hope in the depth and breadth of Abraham's faith in GOD's promises. It will teach you that you too, by faith - like Abraham, will achieve the GOD ordained Purpose for your life! In this book you will learn how a young Abraham, having escaped from King Nimrod, lived with Noah and his son Shem. Noah, the same Ark builder who had lived through the evil days that led GOD to destroy the world through the great flood. This Noah knew the depravity that separated man from GOD, and the righteousness that restored man's relationship with GOD. Noah, son of Lamech, was ten generations removed from the original man, Adam. The book will posit that Noah taught Abraham all he had also been taught about the true nature of GOD by his father Lamech - who most certainly had met the first man Adam, his ancestor nine generations removed, who died when Lamech was fifty-six years old. The book therefore proposes that Abraham learnt about GOD, his nature, and the pain of disobedience to God from Noah, whose father had heard a first-hand account directly from the first man Adam. You will also learn the reason why Jacob, the younger twin of Esau, became the heir of the Covenant promise instead of Esau. Spoiler Alert: it was not because Rebekah favoured Jacob. The book argues that because Jacob, the homely twin of the 'wild' Esau spent time with his grandfather Abraham, he learnt about life and about GOD first-hand from this friend of GOD - the receiver and keeper of the Covenant promise. We make this bold claim confidently because we know that Abraham was one hundred and seventy-five years old when he died, and the twins were fifteen years old. Why? How? Isaac was sixty years old and Abraham one hundred and sixty years old when they were born. Therefore, they lived for fifteen years before Abraham died, and we can discern that the Covenant keeper taught the housebound Jacob all he knew about GOD, from personal experience and from what had been imparted to him by Noah and Shem. You will also learn in this book why Isaac was willing to allow his father Abraham to 'sacrifice' or raise him up before the living GOD. He was not a helpless boy as some believe. He was already a grown man of thirty-nine years. So why did he not fight his aging father? Why did he willingly allow himself to be bound up for sacrifice? His faith in the God of his father!!You will see that like the Abraham of old, a man with remarkable hospitality, gentleness and kindness - and a love for his fellow man - many of the modern day avatars who continue to shape the world for the better have thrown themselves into causes that seek to perfect GOD's world through philanthropy and other acts, because they believe deeply and know that the suffering of one soul somewhere is the suffering of all souls everywhere. Finally, you will learn that the true worship of the Living GOD is doing good to his other children - not prayer or sacrifice. You will see that God not only approves of this, but encourages it as evidenced by when Abraham literally kept GOD waiting to take care of the three strangers who appeared near his tent in the desert in Mamre. You will see from the account how, although Abraham was talking to God at the time the three strangers appeared, he immediately asked GOD to "wait" whilst he went to attend to the strangers. The Faith of Abraham will teach you what the servants of GOD have known since time immemorial - the full blessings of GOD are unlocked when we are willing to walk by Faith and not by Sight - trusting fully in GOD's promises!

Abraham, notes Cardinal Martini in this book dedicated to the figure of the great patriarch, is the father of faith on the move, a symbol of all those who seek God. He is our father 'not only in life as it is lived, in faith considered objectively' but also 'for his radical attitude of faith' which makes him 'the exemplary model of the human being in an attitude of acceptance and availability.' His setting out on the journey reminds us, of course, of the need to free ourselves from the ambiguity of a certain 'traditional belief'. In fact, Abraham would learn the heard way how unpredictable God is in his incredible irruption into history. He would learn this by going through fear and temptation, discovering how God's ways are capable of surprising and disturbing us. In the name of the promise he had received from God, Abraham would be capable of making great and free choices, moved by a social justice bearing the mark of availability, magnanimity and gift. his journey, like that of every human being, is not a straight one, but it does lead to the discovery of the true God.
