Ce livre a été conçu en même temps que les « Fondamentaux d'algèbre et d'arithmétique » sur lequel on pourra judicieusement se reporter.Pour profiter pleinement de ces éléments de connaissances sur lesquels on désire exceller, je conseille de jouer avec ces questions, de s'entraîner à y répondre à l'oral en structurant des phrases dites à haute voix quand cela est possible, et de rédiger des réponses complètes tant que l'on ne se sent pas capable de passer facilement d'une idée ou d'un brouillon à une rédaction claire et précise.Pour atteindre cet objectif, il s'agit de revenir sur chacune des questions aussi souvent que nécessaire, y répondre à l'oral et à l'écrit, en griffonnant un brouillon ou en rédigeant une solution complète aussi souvent qu'il y a quelque chose à gagner. Il s'agit aussi de lire et comprendre les solutions proposées aussi souvent que l'on apprend quelque chose en le faisant.Il faut se concentrer sur la substantifique moelle !Ce livre est un manuel de proximité. On peut l'emporter avec soi n'importe où. Il s'offre au lecteur pour être utilisé tous les jours dès qu'il le décide, pour se poser les bonnes questions et faire le point sur les connaissances qu'il possède vraiment. Faut-il préciser que ce volume peut être ouvert n'importe où pour travailler n'importe quel sujet, même si l'organisation des chapitres propose un ordre logique d'exposition ?Entraînons-nous résolument sur ces « questions de feu » patiemment réunies années après années, et amusons-nous bien !

It first reviews the autonomous case for one matrix A via induced dynamical systems in ℝd and on Grassmannian manifolds. The authors develop generalizations of (real parts of) eigenvalues and eigenspaces as a starting point for a linear algebra for classes of time-varying linear systems, namely periodic, random, and perturbed (or controlled) systems. The book presents for the first time in one volume a unified approach via Lyapunov exponents to detailed proofs of Floquet theory, of the properties of the Morse spectrum, and of the multiplicative ergodic theorem for products of random matrices. The main tools, chain recurrence and Morse decompositions, as well as classical ergodic theory are introduced in a way that makes the entire material accessible for beginning graduate students.
