A program 4. változatában megjelent a képek térképi helyhez kötésének lehetősége (amelyet éppen most hagytak ki a Photoshop Elements 10 programból). A Develop (szerkesztés) csoport eszközeivel a Library filmszalagján kiválasztott, csaknem 200 lehetséges formátumú kép egyikét szerkeszthetjük. A képmódosító eszközökkel utólag állíthatunk a fehéregyensúlyon, az expozíción, a színtelítettségen, a színegyensúlyon, az árnyékos és fényes területek egyensúlyán, a tónusgörbén, élesíthetünk, zajt szűrhetünk, korrigálhatjuk a fényképezőgép optikai hibáit, 8 színcsatornán állíthatunk… A program 4. változatában jelentősen módosítottak a képjavítási eljárásokon is. Ennek része a Develop modul használatakor megjelenő Tools, valamint Settings menü is, amelyben beállíthatjuk, hogy a 2012-es vagy a korábbi (2010-es, vagy 2003-as módszert alkalmazzuk), illetve a beállításokat másolhatjuk, szinkronizálhatjuk a különböző képek között. Jelentősen megváltozott a képek vágása is. Az 5. verzióban megjelent sugaras szűrőt szintén használhatjuk a képjavítás során, melyet részletesen bemutatunk. A program 4. változatában a digitális kamerákkal készített videofelvételek egyes egyszerűbb módosításába is belefoghatunk. Lehetőségünk van egyes Nikon és Canon fényképezőgépek számítógép-vezérelt sorozatfelvételeinek javítására is. A 4. változatban megjelent Map (térkép) modulban és a Map menüben a kép tárgyának földrajzi elhelyezkedését határozhatjuk meg. Ezek az információk is segíthetnek a képek későbbi visszakeresésében. Megjegyezzük, hogy ilyen funkció volt már a Photoshop Elements programban, de a 10. verzióból kivették. Az új modulhoz új menüt is kialakítottak. A 4. változatban megjelent Book (fotóalbum) modulban és a Book menüben képeinkből fotóalbumot állíthatunk össze, amelyet vagy erre szakosodott nyomdával, vállalkozással nyomtathatunk ki, vagy PDF fájlba nyomtathatunk. Az új modulhoz szintén kialakítottak új menüt is. A Slideshow (diabemutató) részben a megnyitott, kiválogatott katalógus tartalmából diavetítést tarthatunk. Ekkor a projektoron vagy a számítógépen vetített képeket felirattal, árnyékkal, kerettel, sőt aláfestő zenével kiegészítve vetíthetjük. A Print (nyomtatás) csoport eszközeivel a nyomtatóba helyezhető papír teljes felületét optimálisan kihasználó elrendezések, szerzői jogi információt hordozó vízjelek és más fontos információk kíséretében nyomtathatjuk képeinket. A Web csoport parancsai a kijelölt képekből készítenek HTML vagy Flash alapú, interneten azonnal közzétehető galériát. Ezt a műveletet is több sablonnal támogatják, szinte csak a képtömörítés módját és a képek mellett megjelenítendő feliratokat kell megadnunk.
