"El Festival Internacional de Fotografía de Valparaíso (FIFV) ha realizado un taller de fotografía con ocho promisorios fotógrafos nacionales de menos de 25 anõs en el marco del Festival de las artes 2012. Esta actividad, junto a otras que se desarrollan a lo largo del año, se enmarca dentro de la vocacíon permanente con la que el FIFV prepara su cita anual en noviembre. La temática que reunió durante une intensa semana de trabajo en el parque cultural de Valparaíso a este colectivo fue el archivo fotografico, tópico que será en eje central de la próxima edición del festival. La idea vincunlante de toda la producción realizada aquí es que el archivo es un documento que permite nuevos e infinitos acercamientos y que sostiene el peso de gran parte de las nuevas producciones contemporáneas. Con esta premisa, el taller se hizo cargo de rescatar álbumes familiares de Valparaiso para descubrirlos, sacarlos al aire, ponerlos en circulacion y usarlos como valiosa materia prima de nuevas creaciones. Durante una semana se buscaron, editaron, interpretaron y recreacaron los álbumes familiares para componer une muestra, une proyeccion en el espacio público y esta publicacion". - Back cover. (="The International Photography Festival of Valparaíso (FIFV) has held a photography workshop with eight promising national photographers under the age of 25 as part of the 2012 Festival of the Arts. This activity, along with other activities that take place along the year, is part of the permanent vocation with which the FIFV prepares its annual meeting in November. The theme that gathered during an intense week of work in the cultural park of Valparaiso to this group was the photographic file, topic that will be in axis. The main idea of all the production here is that the archive is a document that allows new and infinite approaches and that sustains the weight of a large part of contemporary new productions. It took charge of rescuing family albums of Valparaiso to discover them, put them on the air, put them in circulation and use them as valuable raw material for new creations. For a week they searched, edited, interpreted and recreated the family albums to compose a sample, a projection in the public space and for this publication).
