Giuseppina Doneddu (nota Pinuccia) è nata a Osidda e vive a Bitti col marito. Ha un figlio che lavora lontano di casa. Dopo una breve parentesi di lavoro in banca ha scelto d'insegnare presso la scuola primaria, ottenendo, durante la sua lunga carriera, importanti riconoscimenti anche a livello nazionale. Ha fatto numerose e importanti esperienze nel sociale e nella politica. Ora in pensione, dopo più di quaranta anni di servizio e ancora con tanta energia da spendere, cerca di fare nuove esperienze e scrivere questo romanzo è, per lei, un ritornare alunna, un modo per non mortificare l'entusiasmo che ancora vivo, la spinge a non sprecare le competenze acquisite, verificando quanto dei suoi insegnamenti l'abbiano aiutata a liberarsi dalle antiche pastoie, quanta abilità introspettiva abbia acquistato e in che misura la maturità raggiunta abbia agevolato la sua crescita. Il cerchio si è aperto in una spirale e fino a quando non sarà fatta giustizia, il cerchio non si chiuderà.
