Joseph Payne was born during the Industrial Revolution in Birmingham, England in 1905. It was a time of great poverty. Britain had too many starving and orphaned children in crowded cities, and Canada had acres and acres of green fields and a need for farm workers. In 1915, Joe became one of 100,000 children sent to Canada and indentured to work on a farm until he was eighteen years of age.

If that wasn't enough, she was then ripped away from the only other family and life she knew. Autumn's aunt and uncle had made the choice to ship her off to a boarding school telling her it was in her best interest. Autumn wanted to stay and had begged them to let her stay with them, but once the cab door was shut and she was closed off from the only family she knew, she allowed the walls to build up around her heart and she vowed never to return to Jackson, Montana ever again. Autumn started her life over in Homer, Nevada where she opened a small little shop, where she threw herself into her work. She made a point not to make friends or see anyone. Her life had become her shop until her best friend Nichole asked her to come back to Jackson, Montana where all her dreams had disappeared and her abandonment issues started. Once Autumn was back in Jackson Montana, she had all her raw emotions she tried to bury dead inside of her, seep out and things started to happen to her once more.

George Anthony Marchiando's The Broken Hearts Manual is a passionate dedication to everyone who has a broken heart. In his first published work, Marchiando dedicates his poems to his wife, Theresa Marchiando, his soulmate. He appreciates the way that she keeps him coming back to reality when he’s gone. Exploring memories of fierce love and tragic loss, this book serves as a firsthand account of the initial blow and lingering sting of heartbreak. This tale of poems also speaks to the personal significance that nature and faith have held throughout his life, as Marchiando describes the ways in which his exploration of love has been influenced by both his admiration for the wilderness and his relationship with God. The simplicity of Marchiando's language allows his message to resound with poetry lovers of any caliber. His accounts of loss are intimate, however, this work is threaded with the internal turmoil experienced when coping with great loss, an emotional obstacle that is universal. Keywords: Poetry, Loss, Love, Broken Heart, Sadness, Hurt, Sorrow, Loneliness, Life, Sorrow

The Price Of The Haircut written by Brock Clarke and has been published by Hachette UK this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-03-13 with Fiction categories.

From an acclaimed and original writer comes a new collection of stories bursting with absurdist plot twists and laced with trenchant wit. Brock Clarke, author of An Arsonist’s Guide to Writers’ Homes in New England and Exley, among other novels, now offers up bite-sized morsels of his trademark social satire that will have readers laughing, and perhaps shifting uncomfortably in their seats. The title story delivers a cringingly biting dissection of racial attitudes in contemporary America, and Clarke also turns his eagle eye to subjects like PTSD, the fate of child actors, and, most especially, marital discord in stories like “Considering Lizzie Borden, Her Axe, My Wife” and “The Misunderstandings.” In “The Pity Palace,” a masterful study in self-absorption and self-delusion, a reclusive husband in Florence, Italy, who believes his wife has left him for a famous novelist, sells tickets to tourists anxious to meet someone more miserable than they. It’s a distinctly Clarkean world, in which readers find themselves reflected back with the distortion of funhouse mirrors—and swept up on a wild ride of heart-wrenching insight and self-discovery.

From the very first moment that we gaze upon our own face in a mirror, we are mesmerized. At first we don't even recognize that the image peering back at us is our own. Eventually we come to realize that the person in the mirror is indeed one with us, a part of us, and from that moment on, everything changes. Our reflection becomes an integral part of our life. Without it, life as we know it would be almost impossible. It is here, in front of that mirror, that we finally see, that which is very important, who we really are. So imagine for a moment what would happen if one day our image had suddenly, tragically, disappeared Identical twin brothers Marco and Luca Luna share everything. Growing up in a small town, they are an integral part of a loving family. They participate in sports, enjoy music, and are active in their local church. The brothers do everything together, perhaps because they are so much alike-and yet so different. Then one moment, and one event, changes everything-and nothing will ever be the same again
