This book explores the contributions of psychological, neuroscientific and philosophical perspectives to the design of contemporary cities. Pursuing an innovative and multidisciplinary approach, it addresses the need to re-launch knowledge and creativity as major cultural and institutional bases of human communities. Dwelling is a form of knowledge and re-invention of reality that involves both the tangible dimension of physical places and their mental representation. Findings in the neuroscientific field are increasingly opening stimulating perspectives on the design of spaces, and highlight how our ability to understand other people is strongly related to our corporeity. The first part of the book focuses on the contributions of various disciplines that deal with the spatial dimension, and explores the dovetailing roles that science and art can play from a multidisciplinary perspective. Questa monografia di poesia “Umanità”, La Natura è Unica! È nata attraverso il mio intento di avvalorare la poesia, e riavvicinare le persone a questo arte che ha un legame affascinante con la pittura. Le poesie presenti nella raccolta sono nate in concomitanza, o prima o dopo la fase di progettazione e pittura e sono abbinate alle opere del progetto, la mia prima mostra itinerante iniziata dall'estate del 2018. La realizzazione delle opere di diverse dimensioni e tecniche come l'olio, l'acrilico e acquarelli e poesie sono ultimati all'inizio dell'anno 2022. This collection of poems entitled “Men, Our Nature is Unique” was written with a clear aim in my mind: getting people closer to this art. I reckon that this is an art having a special tie with painting. The poems included in this collection were written before the paintings or simultaneously. They always tell something about the painting and my project. My first travelling exhibition took place in the summer of 2018. I worked on several paintings which have different sizes, and I used oil on canvas, watercolor, acrylic. I completed them all in early 2022 and I started my tour.

La presente vuole essere una raccolta di saggi brevi, per lo più tratti dal mio diario privato “Brain” che non ritengo qui idoneo alla pubblicazione perché per sua natura contenente materiale troppo privato, delicato (in quanto attinente a vicende personali) e comunque sperimentale. Parte di questo materiale, tuttavia, dopo una attenta rielaborazione, poteva essere pubblicato comunque nella forma di una “raccolta scelta” di alcune delle sue parti più interessanti che potevano risultare idonee ad essere divulgate al pubblico. Il contenuto di questi saggi o contributi non è strettamente culturale, né sociologico né politico, ma abbraccia un sfera di problematiche che hanno catturato la mia attenzione per lungo tempo, e di cui credevo di poter dare la mia personale “versione” o “visione”, e quindi tenuto dalla mia “arte” (che io intendo alla stregua della pittura o della composizione musicale) ad indagare aspetti del reale che si presentano come “metafore” o “simboli” di significati più profondi che li sottendono. Interpretare significa cercare un significato fra i molti possibili fra quelli che si possono intravedere sia nei fenomeni in generale sia nelle loro strutture, ovvero in quegli insiemi complessi di segni (templates/sets) che formano l’oggetto di ogni comunicazione, e che di volta in volta possono essere le argomentazioni di tipo sociologico, filosofico, psicologico , politico volte a spiegare dei fenomeni e che vengono propagate dai media e che questi saggi vogliono “smascherare”, portandone alla luce l’illogicità, e talvolta la falsità più o meno manifesta. Da ciò il riferimento del titolo alla parola greca “apocalupsis”, che significa disvelamento (dalla radice “kalipt-” che significa nascosto e dalla particella privativa “apo” : da) e che è altresì il nome del libro biblico della Rivelazione, ovvero l’Apocalisse. Una delle tesi sostenute in alcuni di questo saggi (come per esempio quello sulla criminalità organizzata) è che dietro problematiche di vasta portata e che fanno parte del comune sentire spesso si nascondono insidie logiche che aprono un’abbisso sotto di loro. Come se dietro la banalità quotidiana, ad un occhio indagatore, si prospettassero prospettive inquitanti e dai risvolti molto più impegnativi e carichi di conseguenze dell’oggetto che ne è stato solo il pretesto iniziale. Per esempio, e rimanendo al saggio citato, dietro il discorrere sulla mafia e sul crimine viene alla luce il problema del potere che è ad esso retrostante e che lo sottende, e che, se dipanato nelle sue fibre più intime , spalanca lo sguardo su uno scenario inquietante e pericoloso, ovvero sull’essenza del Leviatano. Come se nel momento più difficile e pericoloso per l’uomo, fosse necessario svelare i miti e portare alla luce la verità, o ciò che essa appare come tale o come un’approssimazione quanto più fedele ad essa (in quanto la verità assoluta è propria solo della matematica, mentre l’uomo, essere imperfetto, deve accontentarsi solo di un simulacro di essa) perchè un nuovo inizio possa essere intravisto nel baluginio di una coscienza ancora crepuscolare e incerta. In appendice, quindi, di questa raccolta si sessanta saggi brevi è riportata l’opera “La gare de temps”, la mia autobiografia (1978-2018), che forse non poteva ancora essere pubblicata in maniera indipendente, ma che qui avrebbe trovato una più idonea collocazione.
