As cidades de porte médio no Brasil, com população oscilando entre 250.000 e 500.000 habitantes, começam a experimentar alguns dos problemas de trânsito freqüentemente presentes nas grandes áreas metropolitanas. Os congestionamentos em horas de pico, situações de baixo nível de serviço em vias arteriais, com elevado consumo de combustíveis e poluição atmosférica, são alguns dos principais fatores a serem considerados. A aplicação de Sistemas Inteligentes de Transporte surge como uma das respostas possíveis para reduzir os impactos negativos do trânsito urbano, fomentar a melhoria da utilização do sistema viário e aumentar a qualidade de vida nos centros urbanos. Este trabalho objetiva analisar uma pesquisa feita com condutores, taxistas e empresas do setor de logística de Florianópolis, que utilizam intensamente o sistema viário urbano, através de técnicas de preferência revelada e preferência declarada. Foram analisadas as percepções quanto aos tipos de informação considerados mais importantes em relação ao trânsito local e a aceitação dos usuários da via quanto à utilização de serviços típicos dos Sistemas Avançados de Informação ao Condutor # ATIS, assim como sua disponibilidade em pagar por tais serviços, caso os mesmos fossem disponibilizados e cobrados, identificando inclusive, os valores aceitáveis aos entrevistados. Medium sized cities in Brazil, within a range from 250.000 to 500.000 inhabitants are starting to face some of larger metropolitan areas common traffic problems, such as congestion in peak hours, low level of service in arterials, with high fuel consumption and emission. The Intelligent Transportation Systems deployment arise as one of the possible answers do reduce the negative impacts of urban traffic and promote a better use of the road system, as well as bring a better life quality in urban centres. This work aims to analyse a research conducted with regular travelers, taxi drivers and delivery companies in Florianópolis, which use intensively the urban road system, through the use of Stated and Revealed Preference techniques. The perception about types of information considered most important regarding local traffic and acceptance about using services commonly related to Advanced Traveller Information Systems # ATIS were measured, as well as the willingness to pay for those services, if charged, identifying also the acceptable values for the respondents.
