Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2000 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Individuum, Gruppe, Gesellschaft, Note: 1,7, Hochschule Bochum (Fakultät für Sozialpsychologie), Veranstaltung: Sozialpsychologie II, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Unter dem Begriff Individualisierung kann man zum einen die persönlichen Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten eines jeden Individuums und zum anderen die gesellschaftlichen Faktoren, die dieses Phänomen erst möglich gemacht haben, verstehen. Fakt ist, dass Individualisierung auch etwas mit der Sozialisation eines jeden einzelnen zu tun hat. Grundlagen die in der Familie gelegt werden beeinflussen jeden von uns in seinem Handeln und Tun. Die gesellschaftlichen Prinzipien und Konventionen erledigen den Rest. Die Sozialwissenschaftlerin Helga Bilden hat sich dem Phänomen der Individualisierung einmal genähert, indem sie verschiedene Theorien betrachtet und auf Vor- und Nachteile untersucht hat. Herausgekommen ist ein breites Spektrum an Informationen, aber auch persönlichen Interpretationen, die vor allem gesellschaftliche Wandlungstendenzen sichtbar machen. Ein großes Augenmerk hat Helga Bilden auf Ulrich Beck gelegt, dessen Individualisierungstheorem den Entwicklungsprozess der Individualisierung sehr genau dokumentiert. Des weiteren kann man feststellen, dass Helga Bilden ein sehr großes Interesse an der Frauenarbeit und vor allen Dingen deren Emanzipation hat. Gerade für die Frauenbewegung im Allgemeinen haben die Individualisierungstendenzen im gesellschaftlichen Wandel ein Gros an Innovationen hervorgebracht. Welche Frau konnte sich vor 100 Jahren schon vorstellen das Leben eigenverantwortlich und selbständig zu gestalten. Abhängigkeit vom Mann und strikte Aufgabenteilung bestimmten das Alltagsleben der Frauen. Für viele Frauen bedeutet diese Abkehr von einem tradierten Frauenbild ein breites individuelles Entwicklungsspektrum, aber auch die Gefahr, die Konsequenzen für das eigene Handeln allein tragen zu müssen. Frauenarbeit ist auch heute noch schwere Aufklärungsarbeit, da viel Männer vehement an einem antiquierten, patriarchalischen Denken festhalten. Ich werde in dieser Arbeit die verschieden Individualisierungstheorien, die Helga Bilden herangezogen hat, untersuchen und den Konsens herausfiltern. Des weiteren werde ich mich der Individualisierung der Frauen zuwenden und anhand einer von Helga Bilden vorgenommen Untersuchung zur Rolle der Frau in der Gewerkschaftsarbeit aufzeigen, dass Frauen auch heute noch immer einen schweren Stand im Berufsleben haben und sich ihre Arbeit doch durch einige Vorgehens-und Denkweisen von denen der Männer unterscheidet. Als Literatur werde ich die im Literaturverzeichnis angegebenen Lektüren verwenden.

Introduction to Sociology distills decades of distinguished work in sociology by one of this centurys most influential thinkers in the areas of social theory, philosophy, aesthetics, and music. It consists of a course of seventeen lectures given by Theodor W. Adorno in May-July 1968, the last lecture series before his death in 1969. Captured by tape recorder (which Adorno called the fingerprint of the living mind), these lectures present a somewhat different, and more accessible, Adorno from the one who composed the faultlessly articulated and almost forbiddingly perfect prose of the works published in his lifetime. Here we can follow Adornos thought in the process of formation (he spoke from brief notes), endowed with the spontaneity and energy of the spoken word. The lectures form an ideal introduction to Adornos work, acclimatizing the reader to the greater density of thought and language of his classic texts. Delivered at the time of the positivist dispute in sociology, Adorno defends the position of the Frankfurt School against criticism from mainstream positivist sociologists.
