L'analyse sémio-linguistique du discours de la critique vise, a travers l'observation des composantes de la situation (sujets communiquant et interprétant, cadre) l'observation des récurrences des modes d'organisation du discours (énonciatif, argumentatif, descriptif et narratif) a mettre en lumière les "rôles langagiers" typiques, a dégager les normes (discursives) et les contraintes (situationnelles, communicationnelles) qui permettent de considérer que la critique cinématographique de la presse généraliste appartient a un type de texte particulier, forme un genre discursif reconnaissable en tant que tel qui dispose d'une fonction psycho-socio-discursive attendue : alimenter les conversations mondaines. Le relève des contraintes et normes qui définissent le type de textes que constitue la critique permet, dans un deuxième temps, de mettre a jour les variations (discursives, communicationnelles situationnelles) qui constituent les traces des ritualisations mises en place par chaque journal. l'étude contrastive des critiques de France-soir, Libération et le monde permet de voir ce qui différencie, au plan discursif, communicationnel et situationnel une critique de "populaire" d'une critique "intellectuelle-branchée" et d'une critique de "référence" en fonction d'une construction différente du destinataire et d'un projet de parole en rapport.

The aim of this volume is to assess Friedrich Schleiermacher’s contribution to the theory of translation two centuries after his address “On the Different Methods of Translating” at the Academy of Sciences in Berlin, and to explore its potential for generating future innovative work. For the first time this classic text forms the object of a focused, interdisciplinary approach. Scholars of philosophy and translation, working in English, French and German, provide a close reading of Schleiermacher’s lecture and combine their efforts in order to highlight the fundamental role translation plays in his hermeneutic thinking and the importance of hermeneutics for his theorisation of translation, within the historical and literary context of Romanticism. Although semiotics has, in one guise or another, ftourished uninterruptedly since pre Socratic times in the West, and important semiotic themes have emerged and devel oped independently in both the Brahmanie and Buddhistic traditions, semiotics as an organized undertaking began to 100m only in the 1960s. Workshops materialized, with a perhaps surprising spontaneity, over much ofEurope-Eastern and Western and in North America. Thereafter, others quickly surfaced almost everywhere over the litera te globe. Different places strategically allied themselves with different lega eies, but all had a common thrust: to aim at a general theory of signs, by way of a description of different sign systems, their comparative analysis, and their classifi cation. More or less permanent confederations were forged with the most diverse academic disciplines, and amazingly varied frameworks were devised-suited to the needs of the times and the sites-to carry the work of consolidation forward. Bit by bit, mutually supportive international networks were put together. Today, it can truly be asserted that semiotics has become a global enterprise. This, of course, is far from saying that the map is uniform or even that world-wide homogeneity is in the least desirable. While our conjoint ultimate goal remains steadily in focus, the multiplicity of avenues available for its realization is inherent in the advent ure of the search itself.
