Port of Tanjung Priok subsidiary IPC as the largest port operator in Indonesia, has a vision to always provide the best service to create the quality of port services in a flexible, fast and focused on reducing operating costs. The low level of productivity of loading and unloading , causing the waiting time will be higher or Turn round time (TRT) ship will be longer, which in turn result in additional cost to be incurred by the ship owner (insurance, depreciation, fuel, crew salaries, demurrage, mooring cost and other costs). The ship will be longer in port, so lost the opportunity to achieve more cargo cause high turn round time. The study result the main factor activity loading and unloading too long or idle at the wharf are speed loading unloading are not well targeted, where the productivity of loading unloading boxes container per hour (BCH) under standard around 13 BCH. The second factor limited yard support (line 2) support is not optimal in support of operations with the system is still truck losing. The next factor is the interruption in the supply of cargo from the hinterland to the port of loading cause congestion. This study aims to analyze the performance of the terminal 2 port of Tanjung Priok , , especially in the service of loading and unloading of ships and the result is to reduce logistics costs through efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction . With improvements in services, productivity increased to about 15 BCH, may decrease turn round time ship around 18 hours and improvement other factors, turn round time reduce about 1 day. Customers will save the cost of demurrage $ US 20 per container.

Port activities have been recognised to have a significant impact on the environment, especially Port that located in urban area. This paper focus on identifying emission emitted from port operation in Port of Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, Indonesia. The benefit of the calculation for the port itself to monitor their operational improvement as well as reducing emissions in port area. Indicator such as emissions per ton of cargo handling can be useful to evaluate port environment performance as well as operational performance. By using the existing methodology to the TO 2 Port of Tanjung Priok, with some adjustment, we calculated a total of 6,529 tonnes emission from the operation of cargo handling equipment in 2014. Since the emission from CHE will follow the growth of cargo handled, the port and the policy makers can find a ways to reduce emission from the operation of CHE.

This thesis I created to support IPC's as a Port Operator, as known by the issuance of the 2008 Shipping Laws No. 17 positioned IPC's as Port Operator. In this thesis I will focus on the provision of service of stevedoring/loading-unloading done by IPC's especially for stevedoring/loading-unloading services of non-container cargo between General Cargo, Bag Cargo, Liquid Bulk Cargo, Dry Bulk Cargo and RoRo Cargo at Tanjung Priok Port in Terminal Operation I and Terminal Operation II. Currently stevedoring/loading-unloading service for non-container cargo is served in Terminal of Operation I and Terminal Operation II in cooperation with other parties / partners so that in stevedoring/loading-unloading service of IPC's is very dependent on other party / business partner besides that cooperation there is reveneu sharing with Other parties / business partners thereby reducing the potential revenue of IPC's, then the author tries to convince the Board of Director that IPC's implement the stevedoring/loading-unloading service at the Port of Tanjung Priok by first paying attention to IPC's readiness from legal aspect, human resources aspect, marketing aspect, operational aspect And reveneu aspects. The expectation with the provision of stevedoring/loading-unloading services at Tanjung Priok Port especially for non-container cargo can strengthen IPC's as a Port Operator in fact in the field and can contribute greater revenue to the company.
