Est-ce bien Florian, est-ce son double, ou encore un fantôme ? Entre thriller et portrait psychologique, ce roman prenant qui aborde la question du deuil dépeint les émotions d’une femme blessée mais déterminée à percer le mystère de la disparition de son ancien amour. Watson, l’histoire d’une quadragénaire amnésique qui, chaque matin, se réveille en croyant être une jeune étudiante célibataire ayant tout l’avenir devant elle). Julianne n’avait pas pour habitude d’appeler si tard. J’imaginai le pire, comme d’habitude : un accident de voiture, un séisme dévastateur de magnitude 8 virgule 9, un bloc de glace tombé du ciel écrasant le corps de ma meilleure amie... Mon imagination peut devenir, en l’espace de quelques secondes, ma pire ennemie. Je décrochai le combiné : « Allô ? » Pas de réponse. « Allô ? » répétai-je. Je jurai. « Pour la dernière fois : allô ! » Le ou les individus raccrochèrent. Certaines personnes n’avaient donc rien à faire de leur soirée ?! Me déranger en pleine lecture pour quoi ? pour rien ! Ces mauvais plaisantins ne pouvaient-ils pas harceler quelqu’un d’autre ?
