Este libro ofrece una amplia información sobre la anestesia intravenosa o anestesia ecológica, única técnica que no contamina el ambiente ni destruye la capa de ozono y los diversos medicamentos necesarios para obtenerla. Su autor conoció y aprendió esta técnica con el profesor Joris de Castro, anestesiólogo belga, quien la describió en la década del 50 del siglo pasado y ha visto con satisfacción el creciente interés médico por el excelente resultado de su uso, no solo logrando utilizar algunos de sus medicamentos requeridos en el intraoperatorio, sino también, en el pre y postoperatorio para sedación y alivio del dolor, al igual que en las unidades de cuidado intensivo.
