Louis deRosset (1645-1725) married Gabrielle de Gondin and, as Huguenots in 1685, they fled to Holland and then England. Their only son, Armand John deRosset (1695-1760), and his family immigrated about 1735 from England to New Liverpool (later Wilmington), North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived in North Carolina and elsewhere. Includes ancestry in France to the fourteenth century, when the family moved from Switzerland to France. They were part of the nobility in both France and Switzerland.
