Looking for that open door Slightly ajar to begin with, we are all looking for and finding goals slightly out of grasp Losing a grip of a loosely held clasp And in the end losing it all, watching it all slip away in the reality of the cold light of day Isn't life like that? Terry Powell has been penning poetry for nearly twenty years. Now he shares the entirety of his work in one collection that offers inspiration for everyone. Powell’s diverse poems reflect on his personal experiences, true events, and moments in time. He explores a variety of subjects and themes that include naughty children, the deliciousness of chocolate, an old, forbidding house, the climb up a craggy mountain face, the joys of first love, the spectacular colors of the autumn season, and the veteran soldiers who helped transform the course of history. Anthology of My Own Poems shares the entirety of one man’s original writings as he lyrically explores his experiences, thoughts, and life itself.

"My Story" is a collection of New Age Urban poetry written to influence readers to "BE". Whatever, whoever they want but just to be it. From this collection there are many subjects from relationships To The world's epidemic. "This is my form of psychology, my form of healing....I want society to feel and to understand that many will never get it. Many will never feel or understand this struggle we live, but I do". People most of the times will only read what they can relate to. This is it. Having written for many years I've always wanted to know what others think about my writing. Would they laugh or my big question was would they understand it? From simple poetry to poetry with meaning to abstract poetry that creates its own meaning I write. I hope there is something here for any young writer – or any older writer, for that matter – who happens to be looking for a teacher to come along, a teacher who, in the end, can really teach nothing at all but fire. From the critically acclaimed Colum McCann, author of the National Book Award winner Let the Great World Spin, comes a paean to the power of language, and a direct address to the artistic, professional and philosophical concerns that challenge and sometimes torment an author. Comprising fifty-two short prose pieces, Letters to a Young Writer ranges from practical matters of authorship, such as finding an agent, the pros and cons of creative writing degrees and handling bad reviews, through to the more joyous and celebratory, as McCann elucidates the pleasures to be found in truthful writing, for: 'the best writing makes us glad that we are – however briefly – alive.' Emphatic and empathetic, pragmatic and profound, this is an essential companion to any author's journey – and a deeply personal work from one of our greatest literary voices.

The spirit-defeating, life-dissolving, often unavoidable personal doom of mental illness is poised to strike at so many of us - either directly upon ourselves or indirectly upon a loved one -during our existence here. It is these grim scenarios and outcomes, especially those limiting or destroying personal life events, that the author has struggled with personally through nearly all of her life. Experiencing and thinking on such grim scenarios would perhaps be expected to elicit writings that would be quite dark, an outpouring of tragedy and grief on self and life events. It is likely that this compact solid volume of her own creative energy and force is, in some part, the manner in which she has herself done battle with her diagnoses, a manner of enacting her own therapy when little, or none, was available to her. And it is here that the reader may begin to realize the special nature of this author's abilities that have given delight and uniqueness of this volume. The reader will, of course, note that there are Chapters within this work that provide the authors singular insight in these areas such as "Poems about Grief (Chapter 5) and "Poems about Mental States and Stages" (Chapter 6). But, as the reader shall see, these sections may be viewed to serve only as contrasts to entire sections given over to positive, bright and delightful interpretations of life as "Favorite Things" (Chapter 1) and "Joyful and Tender Things" (Chapter 4). These are where the reader can read and be delighted with such literary ruminations and conundrums in "A Joy to Want" (Chapter 9), or the pensive and satisfying phrasings in "I Wonder Why" (Chapter 3), the wondrous stirrings of desire in "Ronnie" (Chapter 7), or even the hilarious musings in "In Response to Graffiti" (Chapter 9). It is anticipated that the reader of this work will be provided an uncommon clarity about how creativity and imagination may serve well in providing a transformative use cover

I Infinity written by Sehar and has been published by Notion Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-02-25 with Poetry categories.

I wrote my first poem in the third grade aged 6 perfectly rhymed and rather inane couplets chronicling the life of a feline with an affinity for lilies and Chile. To my nine-year old sagacity, poetry was just another language assignment; an evaluation of my vocabulary and imagination. Nevertheless, it was a form that caught my fancy, a genre that to me was symphony and zephyrs in the arid lands of lengthy, dry prose. Years on, I have often pondered over the true definition of poetry. Its archaic hallmark of fixed rhyme schemes, structure and meter have been rendered obsolete with the advent of free verse. It flows over like a canister of bottled emotions, acting both as a salve and matchstick. It is raw and potent, both eloquent and aggravating, a catharsis and epiphany for many. Poetry to me is the anchor that keeps me afloat when I am drowning in the deluge of my own thoughts, bestowing upon me the wings to unearth my own frontiers. This Anthology is a treasured collection of the world through my eyes. As you traverse through this book, I hope you rediscover memories you may have forgotten, and moments buried beneath the sands of time. For what is poetry but symphonies in words and a voyage of emotions? Sehar 4th January 2019
