Dalla descrizione dell'oggetto (rappresentazione della consonanza) visto anche in chiave storica e antropologica, si passa ad una chiarificazione degli elementi minimi del discorso musicale, che coinvolgono naturalmente una rilettura delle cose teoriche, fino alla possibilità di una ridefinizione teorica degli stessi fondamenti dell'Armonia. Lettura, interpretazione e suddivisione del ciclo universale delle quinte, principi armonici, ripartizione razionale degli intervalli, struttura della consonanza sono gli argomenti principali dai quali si dipartono tutte le riflessioni argomentative, senza escludere nemmeno la teoria della Gestalt o il principio naturale della sezione aurea. Dunque una idealità (titolo del capitolo I) rappresentata dalla consonanza da un lato, e dall'altro il punto di vista antropologicamente opposto dato dall'indeterminatezza del caso. Che nel capitolo II ( L'estraneità ) e' rappresentato dalla possibile sovrapposizione simultanea di suoni contigui ad uno ad uno considerati. Un percorso che va dalla consonanza alla sua dispersione in termini di incongruenza formale e percettiva . Morte del suono? della percezione uditiva ? morte della forma? No. L'Armonia vuole proprio ribadire il contrario. Essa vuole indicarci la strada per l'inesauribile ricchezza del suono nelle sue diverse espressioni tutte ugualmente riconducibili a quell' unico principio che chiamiamo consonanza. Non solo. Vuole inoltre suggerirci che l'umano non può oltrepassare i suoi limiti biologici senza perdere con questo tutta la sua intelligenza creatrice e formale. La musica e' un linguaggio segreto il cui codice rimane sconosciuto ma vivo nella trascendente realtà dell'Armonia. Ad essa si deve avvicinare l'uomo, avendo bene in mente (capitolo III) che non può rivaleggiare con la natura, ma esserne solo un umile e sagace interprete.

The evolution from the “Citizens’ Sustainable eXperience” to the “Communities’ Sustainable eXperience” , in the interdisciplinary research funded by the European Union, underscores a significant progression from individual to collective experience. UX, rooted in human-centered design, focuses on optimizing products and environments for personal use and satisfaction, CX expands these principles into the realm of more-than-human-centered design, where the focus extends beyond individual users to include wider community interactions and ecosystems. Therefore, the shift from UX to CX in urban planning and design is profoundly ethical. It calls for a paradigm that prioritizes collective well-being and sustainable development, inclusivity and cooperation.

Antropologia della musica nelle culture Mediterranee è dedicato alla memoria di Tullia Magrini, Professore di Etnomusicologia e di Antropologia della musica presso il Corso di laurea in "Discipline delle Arti, della Musica e dello Spettacolo" (DAMS) e il Dipartimento di Musica e Spettacolo dell'Università di Bologna, venuta a mancare nel 2005. Il volume presenta caratteri particolari. Oltre a quello immediatamente visibile di contenere tanto contributi in lingua italiana che in lingua inglese, si noterà che esso è realmente dedicato a Tullia in ogni sua parte, perché i saggi che contiene fanno riferimento diretto al suo lavoro e ai suoi interessi di studio e ricerca. Tullia Magrini fondò nel 1992 lo Study Group su "Anthropology of Music in Mediterranean Cultures" dell'International Council for Traditional Music (UNESCO) e, nel 1996, la pionieristica rivista elettronica Music and Anthropology. I contributi al volume non provengono solo da etnomusicologi, dal momento che Tullia riteneva che negli studi mediterranei la dimensione storica fosse altrettanto importante di quella antropologica. Questo Gedenkschrift, o volume In Memoriam, è dunque mirato al Mediterraneo, un nodo di interazioni culturali e musicali nel quale ogni sorta di processo antropologico possibile e immaginabile è visibilmente presente.

It is undeniable that technology has made a tangible impact on the nature of musical listening. The new media have changed our relationship with music in a myriad of ways, not least because the experience of listening can now be prolonged at will and repeated at any time and in any space. Moreover, among the more striking social phenomena ushered in by the technological revolution, one cannot fail to mention music’s current status as a commodity and popular music’s unprecedented global reach. In response to these new social and perceptual conditions, the act of listening has diversified into a wide range of patterns of behaviour which seem to resist any attempt at unification. Concentrated listening, the form of musical reception fostered by Western art music, now appears to be but one of the many ways in which audiences respond to organized sound. Cinema, for example, has developed specific ways of combining images and sounds; and, more recently, digital technology has redefined the standard forms of mass communication. Information is aestheticized, and music in turn is incorporated into pre-existing symbolic fields. This volume - the first in the series Musical Cultures of the Twentieth Century - offers a wide-ranging exploration of the relations between sound, technology and listening practices, considered from the complementary perspectives of art music and popular music, music theatre and multimedia, composition and performance, ethnographic and anthropological research.

The edited volume Audiovisual Media and Identity Issues in Southeastern Europe is an attempt to meet the challenges of text-based scholarship, to break medial one-dimensionality dictated by textuality and to shift the focus to the aural and visual dimensions of identity in a part of Europe heavily marked by the dynamics of political, cultural and social change, particularly during the last decades. The objective of this endeavour is to examine identity in Southeastern Europe by means of its communication media, specifically that of the photographic image and the sound recording. How are identities communicated? How are they performed and made physically perceptible? Brought to a point, the primary issue is one of how people perceive themselves and their environment on the basis of communication media, seen through a lens of different disciplines (social anthropology, ethnomusicology, media studies, sociology and history) and methodologies from the point of view of scholars from Southeastern Europe and their Western European colleagues. The book pursues a distinct comparative and historical perspective, examining the media representations from socialist and pre-socialist periods in relation to the role media play in the postsocialist discourse. Another focus is laid on local media representations and their impact on local self-images. This distinct historical and local approach allows new insights into how identities are constructed, performed and negotiated in the light of media, resulting in different forms of interpreting, re-appropriating and re-evaluting the past and traditions. This opens up questions on the role of media in relation to cultural policies and their potential to preserve or to transform local cultural heritage. The book is also an important contribution to the field of postsocialist studies in anthropology. It sheds a distinct cultural view on postsocialist transformation processes. Through a wide range of examples and first-hand results of basic field research from Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Albania and Slovenia this volume provides an opportunity for a comparative reconsideration of similar phenomena across national borders. It may serve also as a methodological reference work for scholars who are interested in the different ways of how to develop and practice “media reflexivity” in their own field research.
