Resumen: El nivel de competitividad al que se ven enfrentadas las empresas del sector Confecciones, es muy alto a hoy día como bien se conoce, la Republica China ha entrado en los últimos años a ser una gran amenaza para este sector en todo el mundo. Los viejos productos de mala calidad con los que se identificaban, se han convertido ahora en productos diversos, de excelente calidad y a los mejores precios del mercado. Esto ha generado una necesidad de mejoramiento continuo en todos los procesos productivos de la industria manufacturera, y es precisamente por esta razón que Ci. Nicole decide crear una herramienta tecnológica que le facilite la planeación y control de actividades dentro de una de sus áreas más críticas como lo es Preproducción ó Desarrollo de Producto. Se ha creado una herramienta tecnológica en un software de común acceso a las empresas, como lo es Microsoft Excel por medio del lenguaje de Programación Visual Basic en la utilización de Módulos de Clase, Formularios, Comandos y Macros en general. La cual permite la ejecución de Cronogramas de Actividades previamente definidas; Asignación de tareas a los diferentes puestos de trabajo involucrados en el Cronograma de Actividades; y finalmente el resumen consolidado del proceso en una Matriz de Seguimiento la cual permite identificar un estilo especifico en un momento determinado, y puede saber en que estado del proceso se encuentra y responsable de dicha actividad. Finalmente esta herramienta brinda información de importancia para la gerencia en el momento de tomar decisiones con respecto a los cuellos botella y procesos críticos, para atacarlos con antelación y no permitir que estos afecten el proceso causando retrasos y permitiendo un mejoramiento continuo en los procesos.
