The Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society Journal hereinafter known as the ACES Journal is devoted to the exchange of information in computational electromagnetics, to the advancement of the state-of-the-art, and to the promotion of related technical activities. A primary objective of the information exchange is the elimination of the need to 're-invent the wheel' to solve a previously-solved computational problem in electrical engineering, physics, or related fields of study. The technical activities promoted by this publication include code validation, performance analysis, and input/output standardization; code or technique optimization and error minimization; innovations in solution technique or in data input/output; identification of new applications for electromagnetics modeling codes and techniques; integration of computational electromagnetics techniques with new computer architectures; and correlation of computational parameters with physical mechanisms.

This is the first truly comprehensive and most up-to-date handbook available on modern reflector antennas and feed sources for diversified space and ground applications. There has never been such an all-encompassing reflector handbook in print, and no currently available title offers coverage of such recent research developments. The Handbook consists of three volumes. Volume II focuses on feed sources. Reflector antennas are extraordinary devices that combine high gain with geometrical simplicity, and can operate in broad frequency bands. Their performance, however, depends on the electrical characteristics of the feed system with which they operate. This comprehensive volume provides you with a solid understanding of feed system theory, design, and analysis. Featuring chapters authored by experts in each aspect of feed systems, this book takes you from fundamental mathematical techniques, electrically small and large dual reflectors, feed geometry and telemetry, tracking and command antennas, and more. Throughout the book numerous examples are provided to guide you in the practical aspects of feed design.

Wearable antennas are meant to be incorporated as part of clothing or placed close to the body. Wearable antennas can be used in countless communication applications including tracking and navigation, medical applications, imaging and detection, RFID, mobile computing and public safety. The book "Novel Wearable Antennas for Communication and Medical Systems" discusses the challenges and technology to develop compact, efficient, wearable antennas. The book begins by presenting elementary communication, electromagnetics and antenna topics needed for engineers and students that do not have a background in design, principles, and features of antennas, printed antennas, wearable antennas, and compact antennas for communication and medical applications. Throughout the book each chapter also covers sufficient mathematical details, physical details and explanations to enable the reader to follow and understand the topics presented. New topics and design methods in the area of wearable antennas, metamaterial antennas, active printed antennas and fractal antennas for communication and medical systems are presented and discussed throughout the book. The book presents computed and measured results in the vicinity of the human body. The book also covers topics such as RF measurement techniques, measurement setups and design considerations. The antennas developed and analyzed in this book were designed and optimized by using 3D full-wave electromagnetics software.

Adaptive Radar Detection Model Based Data Driven And Hybrid Approaches written by Angelo Coluccia and has been published by Artech House this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-11-30 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This book shows you how to adopt data-driven techniques for the problem of radar detection, both per se and in combination with model-based approaches. In particular, the focus is on space-time adaptive target detection against a background of interference consisting of clutter, possible jammers, and noise. It is a handy, concise reference for many classic (model-based) adaptive radar detection schemes as well as the most popular machine learning techniques (including deep neural networks) and helps you identify suitable data-driven approaches for radar detection and the main related issues. You’ll learn how data-driven tools relate to, and can be coupled or hybridized with, traditional adaptive detection statistics; understand fundamental concepts, schemes, and algorithms from statistical learning, classification, and neural networks domains. The book also walks you through how these concepts and schemes have been adapted for the problem of radar detection in the literature and provides you with a methodological guide for the design, illustrating different possible strategies. You’ll be equipped to develop a unified view, under which you can exploit the new possibilities of the data-driven approach even using simulated data. This book is an excellent resource for Radar professionals and industrial researchers, postgraduate students in electrical engineering and the academic community.

An Introduction To The Locally Corrected Nystrom Method written by Andrew Peterson and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-05-31 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This lecture provides a tutorial introduction to the Nyström and locally-corrected Nyström methods when used for the numerical solutions of the common integral equations of two-dimensional electromagnetic fields. These equations exhibit kernel singularities that complicate their numerical solution. Classical and generalized Gaussian quadrature rules are reviewed. The traditional Nyström method is summarized, and applied to the magnetic field equation for illustration. To obtain high order accuracy in the numerical results, the locally-corrected Nyström method is developed and applied to both the electric field and magnetic field equations. In the presence of target edges, where current or charge density singularities occur, the method must be extended through the use of appropriate singular basis functions and special quadrature rules. This extension is also described. Table of Contents: Introduction / Classical Quadrature Rules / The Classical Nyström Method / The Locally-Corrected Nyström Method / Generalized Gaussian Quadrature / LCN Treatment of Edge Singularities
