Equal parts pandemic testimony and "autotheology," God, The God of Unmet Desire is a record of the author's quest to find God during the lonely peak of the first COVID-19 pandemic winter. At the heart of this special issue of CrossCurrents, lies a set of meditations on the daily, traditional Jewish weekday morning liturgy. They fiercely and feelingly explore that pandemic winter's themes of grief, sensuality, and surrender, and our dire need for old and new wisdoms to help us move into collective responsibility for our broken world. To do so, the work weaves together sources as various as the Babylonian Talmud, 20th century feminist science fiction, and 21st century African diasporic poetry. The writings range in length and style from a few lines of prose to a half-dozen lines of poetry to a full-length essay. This work is explicitly feminist, leftist, and non-Zionist. It playfully but sincerely demonstrates Jewish liturgical traditions' possibilities and limitations as resources for personal and political liberation and accountability. Millions of users have taken up residence in virtual worlds, and in those worlds they find opportunities to revisit and rewrite their religious lives. Robert M. Geraci argues that virtual worlds and video games have become a locus for the satisfaction of religious needs, providing many users with devoted communities, opportunities for ethical reflection, a meaningful experience of history and human activity, and a sense of transcendence. Using interviews, surveys, and his own first-hand experience within the virtual worlds, Geraci shows how World of Warcraft and Second Life provide participants with the opportunity to rethink what it means to be religious in the contemporary world. Not all participants use virtual worlds for religious purposes, but many online residents use them to rearrange or replace religious practice as designers and users collaborate in the production of a new spiritual marketplace. Using World of Warcraft and Second Life as case studies, this book shows that many residents now use virtual worlds to re-imagine their traditions and work to restore them to "authentic" sanctity, or else replace religious institutions with virtual communities that provide meaning and purpose to human life. For some online residents, virtual worlds are even keys to a post-human future where technology can help us transcend mortal life. Geraci argues that World of Warcraft and Second Life are "virtually sacred" because they do religious work. They often do such work without regard for-and frequently in conflict with-traditional religious institutions and practices; ultimately they participate in our sacred landscape as outsiders, competitors, and collaborators.

This is a brief autobiography, not in any way trying to summarize my life, but rather to highlight points of Gods intervention. Coming from a poor rural family in Kenya, Africa, I had no reason to expect much from life. However, my father believed in me at a time when women were just expected to serve men within the home, so he decided to send me to school. Having been taught about God at home, I wanted to know more about Him when I went to school. In 1957, I had a personal encounter with Him, and my life was never the same. I came to identify myself with the Apostle Paul when he says: For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to...all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also as to one abnormally born. For I am the least...but by the grace of God, I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect (1 Corinthians 15:3-10). The book is my attempt to pass on to the younger generation what I have received from the Lord. I have experienced many miracles that culminated in my coming to America, where God has continued to surprise me, almost on a daily basis. I want my readers to know that though they may be the least in eyes of the world, once they put their faith in the God of the Bible, His grace will be sufficient in all of lifes circumstances. He is no respecter of persons. He blesses men, women, and children, black, white, slave and free!

Fractal patterning is natures way of economics, always tying back to previous iterations of evolved energy/ matter. Ecology, Eucharist and economy are of a piece in the fractal iterations of symbiotic patterning. Holistic living is a patterned process of fractal rationality, the mindful linking of ecology, economy and Eucharist. Mindfulness is religiously consistent by way of the harmonized linking of communication, consciousness and conscience, what is Trimorphic Resonance. There is no renewable wealth except that which cosmic energy/ substance provide. The balance that sustains codependent life is natural economy; waste of resources adversely affects the whole system. Natures adjustment can profoundly unsettle as the signs of the times show. Humankind has not yet grasped the control evolution holds over interdependent life-systems. Runaway Corporate Capitalism (profit above all else) is totally insensitive to natural ecology/ economy and to the immorality of out-of-control appetite. There is, however, a corrective that dampens appetites for power, profit and control, and that is Eucharistic Altruism. Eucharistic Altruism is a self-aware consciousness that owns a true sense of connection to the vital economics of natural ecology. Natures economy functions on the principle that life supposes death as death supposes life. The way of renewal is for present life to pass on to future life lessons learned. Exploitation-for-profit is inconsiderate of the future in its self-interest passion. When Eucharistic Altruism controls, the uplift of evolution enables future wellbeing by sustaining nature. Eucharistic Altruism is the virtue that compels true religion the hallmark of ecumenism.
