Estos artículos permiten un cierto optimismo ante el futuro de la investigación en arquitectura, y abren una cierta esperanza de renovación. En efecto, hay muchas coincidencias en el diagnóstico, resumido de forma excelente en los tres mitos por Jeremy Till. También es positivo detectar las diferencias en los modelos futuros de investigar en arquitectura. En mi propio punto de vista, el escenario de la realidad social se constituye en un intermedio entre el ámbito educativo y el profesional, de mayor relevancia epistemológica que en el modelo de Jeremy Till, sin devaluarlo. Son simplemente paradigmas diversos que se pueden complementar con los modelos de Amos Rapoport o Bill Hillier. El modelo de ciencia artificial (IA) de William Clocksin tiene la virtud de criticar cualquier intento de conocimiento totalmente autónomo en el individuo o en el objeto, tal como apunta igualmente Jeremy Till, aunque su optimismo en el modelo narrativo-social no esté compaartido por este autor. Estamos, pues, de acuerdo en la naturaleza artística, científica y “social” de la arquitectura y en su naturaleza cíclica representativa, desde diferentes perspectivas filosóficas. Queda abierta, y esto es positivo y necesario, la investigación de la estructura de naturaleza dialógica, comunicativa, del conocimiento arquitectónico. Tenemos, pues, unas primeras pautas para empezar a investigar. Solo falta empezar a trabajar, y...que la financiación llegue a los proyectos y a las personas adecuadas...Rafael Cubarsi és professor del Departament de Matemàtica Aplicada IV de la UPC des de 1988.
