To-day The Queen other and Rosamund are little read; partly, no doubt, because of the rarity of the slim volume which has so long been out of print. But within five years of its publication a common recognition agreed that English Poetry was enriched by a new and potent genius; a poet for whom one of the highest contemporary places was certain, and who might well prove to be of the few who do not pass with their period and vogue but are for time and literature.
