El objetivo de este libro es ayudar al Ingeniero Químico a adquirir las competencias (conocimientos + habilidades) necesarias para ocupar puestos directivos en la Industria. Se concibe como un texto para una materia de estas características en un Máster Universitario u otro programa de postgrado especializado. En total el libro consta de 15 capítulos, presentándose en cada uno de ellos un Caso Práctico, basado en hechos reales y/o imaginarios adaptados de casos reales, que refleja situaciones vividas por el Catedrático Antonio de Lucas Martínez fruto de la experiencia de 40 años de docencia universitaria en el campo de la Ingeniería Química. Después de cada Caso Práctico se introducen, dentro del apartado Notas Técnicas, los conocimientos necesarios para su resolución, presentándose a continuación las pautas a seguir para el Análisis del Caso con ayuda de una Hoja de Preparación. Al final de cada capítulo, se hace un Relato Corto en clave de humor, (Paradoja, Fábula, Historia, Artículo), con la pretensión de trasmitir una “enseñanza” relacionada con el mismo. Por último se indican en cada capítulo los Conocimientos Necesarios y las Lecturas Recomendadas.
