What Im trying to do with this book is give coaches as much information as possible to be a complete coach. What drills to use, how to handle a pitching staff, how do I incorporate baserunning into practice and many things I slowly learned coaching baseball . This book was put together in the hopes of saving a lot of trial and error by youth and high school coaches who may have some questions in a few areas, and to give insight into what it takes for your child or players to get to the college level or beyond. This book explains in detail what I have learned over 25 years of coaching the greatest game ever invented. This book is for all levels 10-20 years old. It will explain what it takes to put together a solid practice plan, offensive and defensive drills and strategies, coaching all 9 positions with daily fundamentals and drills, baserunning, nutrition, and strength and conditioning outlines. How do I keep a practice interesting? How do I coach my catchers if I never played catcher? What do you do for outfielders at practice? How do I defend bunts and first and third situations? What do college coaches look for in my high school player? How do I coach pitchers?, and what is the best way to deal with parents? This book will answer questions that I wished I had known I started out coaching baseball.

The term e-Learning is a neologism for CSCL systems that came about during the emergence of website e-learning modules. From an e-learning perspective, conventional e-learning systems were then based on instructional packets, which were delivered to students using assignments. Assignments were evaluated by the instructor. In contrast, the new e-learning places increased emphasis on social learning and use of social software such as blogs, wikis, podcasts and virtual worlds such as Second Life. This phenomenon has also been referred to as Long Tail Learning . E-learning by contrast to e-learning systems not based on CSCL, assumes that knowledge (as meaning and understanding) is socially constructed. Learning takes place through conversations about content and grounded interaction about problems and actions. Advocates of social learning claim that one of the best ways to learn something is to teach it to others. However, it should be noted that many early online courses, such as those developed by Murray Turoff and Starr Roxanne Hiltz in the 1970s and 80s at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, courses at the University of Guelph in Canada, the British Open University, and the online distance courses at the University of British Columbia (where Web CT, now incorporated into Blackboard Inc. was first developed), have always made heavy use of online discussion between students. Also, from the start, practitioners such as Harasim in 1995, have put heavy emphasis on the use of learning networks for knowledge construction, long before the term e-learning, let alone CSCL, was even considered. There is also an increased use of virtual classrooms (online presentations delivered live) as an online learning platform and classroom for a diverse set of education providers such as Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and Sachem, MN, School District. In addition to virtual classroom environments, social networks have become an important part of e-learning. Social networks have been used to foster online learning communities around subjects as diverse as test preparation and language education. Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) is a term used to describe using handheld computers or cell phones to assist in language learning. Some feel, however, that schools have not caught up with the social networking trends. Few traditional educators promote social networking unless they are communicating with their own colleagues. DLR Associates consulting group first became interested in e-learning modules at the annual Distance Learning Conference held at the University of Maine. I decided to offer e-learning services, since we were already evolved with computer-assisted education techniques. DLR Associates had been involved with CAE since computers were first used in engineering education. It was our hope a trend could be started towards blended learning services, where computer-based activities were integrated with practical or classroom-based situations. This sixth IMKB volume attempts to synthesize research done over a longer period of time in a reference book format. The work presents in survey articles the efforts to study foundations and applications of conceptual modelling in various environments. The motivation of these efforts is the fact that conceptual modelling and knowledge representation together with various kinds of inference systems are important subfields in the design and use of information systems. The modelling problem is essential in many disciplines, such as database design, knowledge engineering, logic, artificial intelligence, cognitive science, philosophy, linguistics, etc. A central and comprehensive bibliography is included.

Information modeling and knowledge bases have become essential subjects in the last three decades, not only in academic communities related to information systems and computer science, but also in the areas of business where information technology is applied. This book presents the proceedings of the 28th International Conference on Information Modelling and Knowledge Bases (EJC2018), held in Riga, Latvia from 4–8 June 2018. The aim of the conference was to bring together experts with a common interest in the understanding and solving of problems on information modelling and knowledge bases, as well as those from different areas of computer science and other disciplines who apply the results of research to practice. The 39 accepted papers collected here cover a variety of topics, including: conceptual modeling; knowledge and information modeling and discovery; linguistic modeling; cross-cultural communication and social computing; multimedia data modeling and systems; and environmental modeling and engineering. The book will be of interest to researchers and practitioners alike, and to anyone wanting a better understanding of current advances in information technology.

The Selling Of 9 11 written by D. Heller and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-09-23 with Political Science categories.

The Selling of 9/11 argues that the marketing and commodification of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, reveal the contradictory processes by which consumers in the United States (and around the world) use, communicate, and construct national identity and their sense of national belonging through cultural and symbolic goods. Contributors illuminate these processes and make important connections between myths of nation, practices of mourning, theories of trauma, and the politics of post-9/11 consumer culture. Their essays take critical stock of the role that consumer goods, media and press outlets, commercial advertising, marketers and corporate public relations have played in shaping cultural memory of a national tragedy.
