In questo libro viene raccontata la storia di una mamma meravigliosa: la beata Eurosia Fabris in Barban (1866-1932), la prima beatificazione avvenuta con Papa Benedetto XVI a Vicenza, fuori dalla Città di Roma, il 6 Novembre 2005. Narra la vita semplice e umile di una di noi, che si dedicò totalmente, ma eroicamente, all’amore per la propria famiglia, dalla quale ebbe nove figli, di cui tre sacerdoti, accogliendone poi altri tre in adozione. Profondamente unita a Gesù, in un’intensa esistenza cristiana forgiata di preghiera e carità, allargò gli spazi del suo cuore dolce e puro rendendo la propria vita e quella di chi la incontrava intrisa di felicità e di fiducia incrollabile nella Divina Provvidenza. Eurosia, il cui nome greco significa «di buona costituzione corporea o di buona indole interiore», fu particolarmente devota allo Spirito Santo, attratta dall’Adorazione Eucaristica, confidente nell’aiuto immancabile della Vergine Maria, costantemente orante per le Anime in attesa della glorificazione. Ella capì che vivere cristianamente è la più bella e semplice avventura che si possa scegliere per la propria storia personale, un’avventura di «pace e bene». Sarta e catechista nella propria Parrocchia di Marola (Vicenza), arricchì la sua bellezza naturale con quella che viene dalla proposta cristiana, seguendo fedelmente la Regola dei Francescani Secolari ed avendo il dono di dialoghi interiori con Gesù stesso. «Mamma Rosa», come è conosciuta tra la sua gente semplice e umile della Diocesi di Vicenza, in Italia, Stati Uniti, Australia, Canada e Filippine ha esaudito le preghiere di molti credenti, quelle soprattutto di giovani spose, non solo intercedendo per il dono della loro maternità, ma anche favorendo adozioni, aiutando concretamente i giovani seminaristi in difficoltà, incoraggiandoli a seguire la vocazione e sostenendo fattivamente le loro famiglie.
