The majority of this book looks at David, his life, the kingdom he built, and his relationship with the temple. It was David's desire to build an elaborate stone temple dedicated to God. Was that what God really wanted? Of course there were a few changes between the Tabernacle Moses built, and the stone temple David planned for, and Solomon built.
