This book is beyond the romanticized version of love and deep into the self. The author has witnessed couples' most sensitive moments as they express their dreams for their relationship and worries that occur prior to the ceremony, as well as when they work through the inevitable challenges that surface afterward. This book is for everyone who is in love, wants to be in love, or wants to rekindle their love. Relationships may be our greatest source of joy as well as our greatest cause of misery. Every relationship has issues, but the ones that work are the ones we work on on a regular basis. Difficulties do not indicate a terrible marriage or an impending breakup. Challenges are a strong indicator that your relationship needs to evolve, and you are being challenged to reconnect to something bigger, to evolve, and to love more fully. This book emphasizes accepting responsibility for the quality of your relationships while also providing practical approaches to immediate, long-term remedies for changing them. Every person is deserving of love, and every relationship has the potential to deliver long-term fulfillment

Love is the only hope. It is only because of love that man finds it possible to reach god. If there were no love there would be no religion, no prayer. If there were no love there would be no creativity, no music, no dance, no art, no poetry. If there were no love there would be no beauty, no friendship, no happiness, no intimacy. All that is valuable in life comes through love. Love is the source of all that is nourishing and fulfilling. Love is the only heavenly phenomenon on this earth. Everything else is earthly; therefore it is only through love that one can reach to god and heavenly states of being. Without love, life becomes dull, repetitive and unfulfilling. Love: The Most Precious Gift of Life shows us that we must live with love, because that is the only way to really live. The deeper and realer your love is, the deeper and more meaningful your life is. We must think of love and life as being the same and synonymous. If love has so many blessings, why do many couples struggle and face so many difficulties in their relationships? In the second part of Love: The Most Precious Gift of Life, the root social and psychological causes of these conflicts are uncovered, and a solution for solving each problem is also presented. And in doing so it helps us to keep our relationships healthy and intimate, and enable us to embrace love, and through love, reach to our highest potential which is self-realization and enlightenment.

A satisfactory romantic relationship contributes enormously to one’s mental and physical health. However, conflict in romantic relationships can lead to destructive behaviors, such as hostility or withdrawal, which often damage mental and physical health for both partners and even those around them (e.g., their children). In my dissertation research, I investigate how nonzero-sum beliefs—lay theories about whether one’s romantic relationship works according to win-win or nonzero-sum principles—influence how people respond to relationship conflicts. I examine whether nonzero-sum beliefs predict more constructive and less destructive responses to conflict, independent of relationship security and commitment, which are also linked with responses to conflict. In five studies (one longitudinal study, one laboratory observation study, three experimental studies), I found that nonzero-sum beliefs unique predict more constructive and less destructive responses to conflict beyond relationship security and commitment. Furthermore, the associations between nonzero-sum beliefs and responses to conflict generally do not depend on relationship security or commitment. In addition, feeling optimistic about handling conflict statistically mediates the link between nonzero-sum beliefs and responses to conflict. This research advances scientific understanding of how lay theories about the nature of one’s relationship with their romantic partner play an important role in conflict resolution.

Why You Will Marry The Wrong Person written by The School of Life and has been published by School of Life Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-04-27 with Family & Relationships categories.

A collection of essays extended from The New York Times' most-read article of 2016. Anyone we might marry could, of course, be a little bit wrong for us. We don’t expect bliss every day. The fault isn’t entirely our own; it has to do with the devilish truth that anyone we’re liable to meet is going to be rather wrong, in some fascinating way or another, because this is simply what all humans happen to be – including, sadly, ourselves. This collection of essays proposes that we don’t need perfection to be happy. So long as we enter our relationships in the right spirit, we have every chance of coping well enough with, and even delighting in, the inevitable and distinctive wrongness that lies in ourselves and our beloveds.
