Sergio Favretto, avvocato, già Giudice Onorario al Tribunale di Torino, è nato a Casale Monferrato nel 1952. È autore di testi di diritto amministrativo e penale, come Il diritto a braccetto con l’arte. Beni culturali, paesaggio e opere d’arte (2007). Sui temi resistenziali ha pubblicato Casale Partigiana (1977); Giuseppe Brusasca: radicale antifascismo e servizio alle istituzioni (2006); Resistenza e nuova coscienza civile (2009), Fenoglio verso il 25 aprile. Narrato e vissuto in Ur partigiano Johnny (2015) e Una trama sottile. Fiat: fabbrica, missioni alleate e Resistenza (2017). Nel 2022 ha dato alle stampe I partigiani del mare.
