What the Bleep Do We Know!? is the biggest New Age movie phenomenon . . . EVER! This outrageous film plunges you into a world where quantum uncertainty is demonstrated—where neurological processes and perceptual shifts are engaged and lived by its protagonist—where everything is alive, and reality is changed by every thought. What the Bleep Do We Know!? gives voice to the modern-day radical souls of science, bringing their genius to millions. What the Bleep Do We Know!? says that science and spirituality are not different modes of thought, but are in fact describing the same thing. And it brings the power back to the individual man and woman as it demonstrates creation as the god-like capacity of every individual. In Beyond the Bleep, Alexandra Bruce illuminates the personalities and teachings of the physicists, neurologists, anesthesiologists, physicians, spiritual teachers, mystics, and scholars in the film, as well as the filmmakers, helping the reader sort through their wilder and woollier theories with simple explanations of the cutting-edge science on which they are based. The phenomenon of the movie is only just beginning, spreading outwards from the yoga studios and health food stores of the Pacific Northwest across America and the world. There is a huge demand for more information on the topics presented in the film; Beyond the Bleep is the place to start.

"Cilk Programming and Algorithms" "Cilk Programming and Algorithms" is a comprehensive exploration of the theory, design, and practice of developing parallel software using Cilk. Beginning with the foundations, the book dives into the origins of Cilk, its innovative work-stealing execution model, and the essential language constructs that have made it a staple in the world of parallel programming. Readers will gain a thorough grounding in concurrency, determinism, and practical integration with C/C++ and compiler toolchains, accompanied by essential insights into profiling, debugging, and performance metrics for Cilk-based code. The text advances into sophisticated parallel algorithm design, unpacking divide-and-conquer patterns, fundamental map-reduce-scan operations, parallel sorting, dynamic programming, graph algorithms, and more—demonstrating Cilk’s capabilities in tackling complex computational challenges. A detailed focus on optimization strategies, task scheduling, load management, and the development of scalable concurrent data structures empowers programmers to engineer high-performance applications for many-core and heterogeneous architectures, all while minimizing bottlenecks and memory contention. Addressing the realities of contemporary development, the book provides essential guidance for integrating Cilk with modern software ecosystems, from cloud and distributed systems to GPU offloading and interoperability with leading parallel frameworks. Readers will also find robust methodologies for testing, verification, and debugging of parallel code, as well as in-depth coverage of Cilk extensions, recent research, and future trends. Real-world case studies illustrate Cilk’s impact across scientific computing, data analytics, AI, finance, and industry, making this volume an indispensable reference for both practitioners and researchers in the field of parallel programming.

The second book in "The Rathing Chronicles" trilogy, "Kytos - The Dark Beyond" covers events in Britain in 2078. The half-rat half human Rathings rule with an iron fist but have to rely on press-ganged humans to run the country and the economy, which is crumbling due to trade and travel embargoes imposed by the rest of the world. The Rathings are just one of the breeds of hybrid mutants let loose on the world as a result of The Kytos Project - a genetic engineering, hybrid cloning programme almost 60 years earlier. A disillusioned and altruistic Rathing General and a cabal of senior officers plan to overthrow their government and launch an invasion, initially into Europe, and then further afield with a view to conquering the world.By accepting the assistance of an amoral Rathing Senator from the parallel future dimension, the General unknowingly takes the first step to being manipulated by the duplicitous Senator, who has his own dark agenda. With unrest mounting amongst the Rathing military and elite, a showdown between government forces and rebel troops is inevitable. An epic battle eventually takes place between the two factions. The losing General is captured and executed in a barbaric manner. Meanwhile, a young human called Ashok is laying down his own battle plans. He wants to destroy the Rathings before they mature from their embryonic stage, as he holds them responsible for the death of his parents. The only way he can do so is to return to the past through a Time Gate and persuade the scientist who created the clones to stop his experiment. But his plans are dashed at every turn and his determination to stop the creation of the clones puts two friends' lives in mortal danger. And there's the mystery surrounding the assassination of dozens of Rathings. A small mound of residual molecular dust left at each of the crime scenes is a tell-tale sign that the killers may be etheric beings from another dimension. The pressure is on Rathing investigators to catch these shadow souls before they murder more of their kinsfolk. With Rathing and human lives in peril, the challenges Ashok and the General must overcome change each of their lives forever.

Although many books have been written about Mathematica, very few of them cover the new functionality added to the most recent versions of the program. This thoroughly revised second edition of Mathematica Beyond Mathematics: The Wolfram Language in the Real World introduces the new features using real-world examples based on the experience of the author as a consultant and Wolfram certified instructor. The examples strike a balance between relevance and difficulty in terms of Mathematica syntax, allowing readers to incrementally build up their Mathematica skills as they go through the chapters While reading this book, you will also learn more about the Wolfram Language and how to use it to solve a wide variety of problems. The author raises questions from a wide range of topics and answers them by taking full advantage of Mathematica's latest features. For example: What sources of energy does the world really use? Are our cities getting warmer? Is the novel El Quixote written in Pi? Is it possible to reliably date the Earth using radioactive isotopes? How can we find planets outside our solar system? How can we model epidemics, earthquakes and other natural phenomena? What is the best way to compare organisms genetically? This new edition introduces the new capabilities added to the latest version of Mathematica (version 13), and discusses new topics related to machine learning, big data, finance economics, and physics. New to the Second Edition Separate sections containing carefully selected additional resources that can be accessed from either Mathematica or online Online Supplementary materials including code snippets used in the book and additional examples. Logos And Alogon written by Arkady Plotnitsky and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-01-16 with Mathematics categories.
This book is a philosophical study of mathematics, pursued by considering and relating two aspects of mathematical thinking and practice, especially in modern mathematics, which, having emerged around 1800, consolidated around 1900 and extends to our own time, while also tracing both aspects to earlier periods, beginning with the ancient Greek mathematics. The first aspect is conceptual, which characterizes mathematics as the invention of and working with concepts, rather than only by its logical nature. The second, Pythagorean, aspect is grounded, first, in the interplay of geometry and algebra in modern mathematics, and secondly, in the epistemologically most radical form of modern mathematics, designated in this study as radical Pythagorean mathematics. This form of mathematics is defined by the role of that which beyond the limits of thought in mathematical thinking, or in ancient Greek terms, used in the book’s title, an alogon in the logos of mathematics. The outcome of this investigation is a new philosophical and historical understanding of the nature of modern mathematics and mathematics in general. The book is addressed to mathematicians, mathematical physicists, and philosophers and historians of mathematics, and graduate students in these fields.
